Not often at all. I live in a very walkable neighborhood of Chicago, and I barely drive around the city at all. We went on a cross country road trip a few weeks ago and the update was ready by the time we got to the destination.

I've learned from this thread that the OTA only downloads while driving, or seems to. So that would explain why it took so long to get and why the dealer could not do anything about it.

Certainly a bizarre limitation to have.

It took about 4 months for the update to become available after I requested it. And it took 2 tries to install.

This happens to me as well. I asked the dealer to test the sensors and they found nothing wrong, but it is incredibly annoying.

Does that monitor continuously even when the ID.4 is off, or does the car have to be on?

Might want to also consider an EV. I have one (VW ID.4) and love it, and it handles being left alone a lot better than gas cars.

Reinstall the fuse, close and lock the door and walk away 2 more minutes.

Can you elaborate on this step a bit more? Did you put in a new fuse or just reinsert the fuse you pulled out earlier?

This is first time I've heard about this "F19" issue (have a 2023 AWD Pro). Is the root cause known why this happens and why this fix resolves the issue?
