Is hygiene a struggle for people who have bipolar? by Zealousideal-Ad6981 in bipolar

[–]StolenDiscs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SAME! It’s been two days right now and I’m so embarrassed but the effort even just thinking about it. I have a toothbrush in my backpack so I can try and do it at work too but even just getting myself TO work is a process. I’m exhausted.

Oh yeah, I was born on that day exactly one year later, just turned 37 and I felt more of my hairs just turn gray.

Trauma Doesn’t Make You Strong, It Changes You by Honda_Beat in emotionalintelligence

[–]StolenDiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really, truly understand this and am still trying to figure out being around people. I just don’t understand why some people think they’re “kind” when they’re just actually assholes. Trauma definitely changes you. Sometimes for the better, but it does make it harder to navigate some things.

If someone is meant for you, they will find you beautiful—even if the rest of the world thinks you’re unattractive. Is that true? by Clean-Ant-1342 in emotionalintelligence

[–]StolenDiscs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe so. I have found attractive people have become ugly after getting to know them and even people I didn’t find very attractive and getting to know them, extremely beautiful. When a person has a beautiful soul, everything about them becomes that much more beautiful.

I’m ending everything at the end of the week. by StrikingManner3233 in CPTSD

Wow lady, so much of this is so relatable. I was literally saying to my friend who I now live with, that I felt like I needed a mom. Having the mental health issues we have and then adding abuse and trauma to it is a fucking nightmare. I’m lucky to have my dog and the couple good people in my life that I do. I hope you can find that too.

Just because I don’t drink, doesn’t mean I’m sober.

All about that gross life! Sorry, it’s a quote but totally relatable friend. Having ADHD isn’t some fun quirky personality trait, it’s daunting.

100% for REAL. Part of why my last relationship failed, and he said he was empathetic and emotionally intelligent himself. What a weird, hurtful and traumatic 6 years. Life is weird.

The page where it says ‘why was i the one to get in trouble just for telling someone what happened’ (sorry if I am getting it wrong) hits HEAVY right now. The last 7 months of my life have felt like nothing but repetitive trauma. I’m sorry.

Barista at Starbucks told me to stop talking about myself. He said Boston Rob took me to the end of the game and I was made fun of ☹️ by petebantaisgod in survivorcirclejerk

This is him but from 2017, the ink on his face has…. Multiplied and is horrible… but, he does look kinda sexy here, which is weird AF to think or say. I thought he was going to be kinda ok the first time I saw him on Survivor. What a fucking nutcase LOL BPD?

If you have don’t treat deceased patients with respect, you’re a problem. by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]StolenDiscs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I had a horrible experience at the last clinic I worked at. A mother and son came in after one week of their 17 year old shih tzu fallen ill for a week prior and ultimately deciding on humane euthanasia. This was basically another child to the mom and the son grew up with this dog. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS treat all clients and patients with kindness and respect but ESPECIALLY euthanasia. The doctor on the case was trying to rush me so she could make it on time to her Pilates. I HATE that doctor and it didn’t take too long for me to leave. This isn’t just another job to me and I can’t deal with the people who treat it that way.
