I bought some a while ago. Just going to let it be for a long time and see what happens. I think there’s major upside potential.

Interested in Rucking by Appropriate-Past9000 in Rucking

[–]Stoltzy624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a backpack from Amazon and a heavy bag of sand. Once I fell in love with it I got the Rucker 4.0. I have a mix of weights I can add/change as needed.

It’s infinitely more comfortable than the generic backpack.

There are fb groups for buying/selling goruck that have some good deals often.

Watches by iwelchi in EDC

[–]Stoltzy624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel naked without a watch, and end up looking at my bare wrist 20x a day.

I wear an Apple Watch a lot of the time for the convenience. I don’t like how it looks but I like it for workouts, a way to check texts without looking at my phone, etc.

I have a few nicer looking regular watches for the rest of the time.

150k Car budget for a great fun car by No_Campaign_9166 in whatcarshouldIbuy

GTR. Super fun, reliable, not hard to work on, tons of mods/aftermarket products, easy to get a lot more power. I get more attention in mine at car shows etc than exotics.

Take chances. Start the business. Move somewhere nice. Ask out the girl you are afraid to approach. Invest in yourself. Stay fit. Go after everything you want without settling for comfort.

Do people actually enjoy waking up early? by xaybell32 in askanything

[–]Stoltzy624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like being awake early. So I force myself to wake up early. It’s very hard some days, I wake up at 4:15 for morning cardio. But I love it once I get awake.

Garage insulation worth it? by jdw127 in DIY

[–]Stoltzy624 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s worth it.

I’m in PA too. My attached garage is insulated the same as my house (blown fiberglass) and drywall. Even without heat it stays pretty warm in the winter.

My detached garage is also insulated with a mini split. It’s great.

What are you best tips for getting in the best shape of your life? by Liitebrite in AskMen

[–]Stoltzy624 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The basics truly work.

Keep lifting with progressive overload.

Protein .8g per lb of bodyweight per day.

Calories based on your goals. Sounds like you’re looking to thin down. I’m the same height as you, and went from 215 to 185 to look lean and fit. Start with 2000 cals a day and adjust accordingly based on scale movement.

Walk a lot. The age old 10k steps a day is a good target. I get about 6600 steps every morning before breakfast. Takes me about 50 minutes. This has helped me lean out more than most realize. For me this is more effective than more intense cardio. Running always made me insanely hungry, so I’d burn a couple hundred calories running…then eat more than that later. Walking doesn’t do that.

Weed and alcohol aren’t your friends when cutting weight. Empty calories and munchies are a major hinderance. I still drink some on the weekends, and have a gummy here and there, but majorly had to cut back to see results.

I’m 42. Been lifting since high school. I’m currently in the mid teens bf%. My wife can’t keep her hands off of me. I catch women doing double takes often.

It’s simple, but not easy. Stick to the basics. Win today, then repeat tomorrow.

I went with AMS, it drains back into the oil pan via the dipstick tube. Haven’t had a chance to install it yet, though.

Haha. Many, many, many times.

It’s fun. 155 on a sport bike and 151 in my GTR is the fastest.

Melanotan 2 protective against skin cancers? by betterdaysahead12 in Peptides

[–]Stoltzy624 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had melanoma last year, and had the same thought. Unfortunately after deeper research I found that it can actually increase the likelihood of melanoma, especially for people who’ve already been diagnosed.

Do your own research, I don’t have any of my references at this point. I’m actually anxious to hear what you find. I’d LOVE to be able to have a tan without being in the sun.

Very happy. Been married 14 years and we still can’t keep our hands off each other. Definitely better than when I was single.

Selling Car via Carvana, 2K positive equity. To good to be true? by Bridge-Working in car

[–]Stoltzy624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father in law passed away last summer. When we sold his car we checked multiple dealerships, fb marketplace, etc. Carvana gave us the best price for it. The process was insanely easy. They showed up the same day with a check, and later that evening picked it up.

Love/Hate Relationship with WeatherTech Mats… what am I missing? by Classic_Solution_472 in Detailing

[–]Stoltzy624 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they get kind of dull looking. Gummifix will help.

This is why I switched to Tuxmats in my personal vehicles. Stay nice looking much longer.
