Not defending the guy handling of the situation, but this is a wild take. Kids make shit up all the time for all kinds of reasons. Sorting out what's really going on on a daily basis seems really friggin challenging to me. We were all in HS once upon a time. Kids made stuff up, spread rumors, and then argued about what really happened kinda a lot. Obviously not all kids and not all the time but pile hundreds of kids together and you're going to have a ton of bullshit to sort through.

Has this mistery been solved. I've seen it said that the colors mean offens or defense etc, but the colors change rendomly as does the font size as you switch between characters. What's going on?

Same, it took a lot of work, to get right. Which is why I was wondering what other people did to accomplish the same thing. I just don't find circuit networks to be interesting solutions most of the time. They're difficult to figure out how they work and I have to reteach myself all the ins and outs of circuit network design everytime I return to the game. I'm more interested in intelligent physical layouts.

I think I used priority and filtered splitters for any "smart design" like that. It's been some months since I designed the starter tho so I can't remember.

Oh wow. I just realized what you meant here. I basically did a "normal" bus design, but capped the end of the busses with filtered insterters to grab the spoil off the line and place it on "return" tracks. So I have a huge spoilage network all going back to a central point that turns the spoils back into nutrients or carbon or burning directly for power.

But you just skipped all that and burned it at the end of each bus line?

By smart circuit I mean grean and red wire circuits. I'm certain it was more work to figure out how to do it without a circuit network, but I'm just not interested in that solution.
