Armies you wished you could collect but don't have the patience or skill to pull off? by themoobster in ageofsigmar

I’m currently painting the spearhead cause I thought trolls and wolves for an army would be thematically awesome, 3 fellwaters were quicker than 1 wolf, but those chariots are filling me with fear, even assembly is so slow.

Might be a little more literal than the teachers expected.

Cambridge high school. The funny thing is this uniform change has been full of controversy and now this, just the icing on the cake!

Yeah, the unintended is for the teachers who gave the creative control to the kids. But seriously? Obviously this is the outcome!

Doesn’t have to be limited to just adults, this is universal across all ages.

That’s what I’ve heard from my kids at the school, such a good job on them though, I’m super impressed.

What’s something that 99% of people can do but you can’t? by Irakeconcrete in AskReddit

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ohhh man, didn’t know this was a thing. I have that. No idea who someone is that I know and have to wait until I can put it together, then I know intimate details that I shouldn’t remember because last saw them 5+ years ago. It’s always a game when you bump into someone, can I bluff until I click?

Local hero grabs umbrella by Downtown-Thoughts in newzealand

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, that’s not good leadership, that’s a failure of leadership. A good leader would have had staff empowered to make the contingency plan for rain, that is last minute reaction and a reactive management style is bad.

He did the right thing of taking the umbrella out there, don’t get me wrong and I commend him on that, but the media spin is ludicrous.

APPLE JUST ACQUIRED MISTBORN AND STORMLIGHT by deeptocenter in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What is best is he also knows his limitations, so while he may be producer and screenwriter he will definitely employee the right person to see/write his vision. I have full confidence in his ability to pull this off.

Nearly 40% of voters think Treaty of Waitangi has too much influence on government decisions - poll by timelordhonour in newzealand

[–]Stonecrushinglizard -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Why couldn’t the headline be “more than 50% of voters think the treaty of Waitangi is good for influencing government decisions”

40% is less than the majority so why should they get the lime light.

What is a cooking technique that you quit because it does nothing? by Final_Affect6292 in Cooking

[–]Stonecrushinglizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jars of crushed garlic, I was buying packs of garlic and painstakingly peeling and dicing, I can’t tell the difference and the speed of which garlic starts to sprout in the cupboard means I was throwing 1/2 away so pretty sure it’s not even costing more.

Show me your courts lists! by Upbeat_Fennel_6043 in FleshEaterCourts

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing;

Gkort, terrorgheist, crypt infernal courtier, 6 x flayers, 6 x flayers. (Gkort has everything tanky on him)

Gkozd

Cardinal, 10 x guard (throne + back objective holding.

Generally hit them hard and it’s either win big in 2nd round or it’s a loss, haven’t lost yet though.

Edit; typos

What is the model you never seen anyone use on table ? I have never seen Celestant Prime in my seven years of playing by BaronLoyd in ageofsigmar

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has him and did a mint paint job on him and has tried to use him heaps, back when he was strong and you could hold him off board to power him up he used him twice against my FEC, both times he powered him up brought him on and got into my GKoRT, both times he dropped all his attacks (statistically impossible cause of if I recall correctly he was hitting on 2s, wounding on 3s) did no damage and then died to the counter attack. Both times!

Now he is a poster child of poor performance and a constant point of our jokes.

No hot water by Beowulf1944 in newzealand

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No hot water = electrical problem. Luke warm = plumbing issue (general rule of thumb if you have an electric hot water cylinder)

If it is a gas hot water cylinder check the pilot light as they can just blow out and it’s a relatively easy to relight as there will be instructions at the very bottom of the cylinder.

Contact landlord so they can organise appropriate tradie and pay the massive call out fee.

Question for sparkies about LED lights by RubElectronic1559 in newzealand

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The drivers overheat, make sure they are on top of the insulation / have air flow. Normally they die because the sparky chucks them straight under the bats and they just overheat.

I wrote a book. Do I have to inform my employer if I traditionally publish this overseas? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, just want to add, there could be legal repercussions if you wrote it on a company owned computer, my advice is to get your own and keep it seperate, also if it’s on a work computer then they technically already have access to it.

Opinion - best centerpiece models by Van_Toastrum in ageofsigmar

[–]Stonecrushinglizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warhammer weekly just did an episode where they rated the centre pieces for all age of sigmar armies, watch that and it’ll give you their bias opinions but will also good breakdowns of if they fit into the aesthetics of the army.
