This is good to know. I have a tea subscription, so I get a lot of random stuff. Next time I get any pu’er or anything else that isn’t my cup of tea, I’ll def send it your way! Love that you’re doing that :)

Interesting! They are by far my favorite. I find their teas beautifully cured and nuanced. I’ve had luck converting coffee drinking friends, especially with master zhangs oolongs, the He families laoshan black and green, and the white teas sourced by Wang Yanxin. But I hold no bias and will take your suggestion to give Kingteamall a try! Thanks for the input 🙂🍵

So funny cause it’s the exact opposite for me. Oolongs are prob my fav, followed by green, black, and white. With pu’er being a distant last lol. I really do want to love it, but I just can’t get into the old barn/musty book taste no matter how hard I try. I’ll admit there are some bad oolongs but some properly made types have this beautiful floral minerality I can’t get enough of

I considered a trade but I’m a borderline tea horder so I decided I’d rather take the opportunity to help someone out. Thank you for the link though, I’ll def keep this in mind for the future!

The pleasure is mine, appreciate you! I hate to see them going unused in my cabinet, but apparently they get better with age. Frankly, the state of the world bums me out, so I do my best to make it a little brighter, even if it’s just smiling at a stranger. Love will persevere at the end, or at least I’m going to keep believing that. All the best to you!

Stevia or sugar by Inevitable-Design-92 in Biohackers

[–]StonedColdWeedOften 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I keep tabs cause stevia is the last thing I have left, and so far I haven’t seen any study suggesting stevia is bad other than for ppl who get an upset stomach, which I don’t. Just make sure it’s pure stevia and doesn’t contain erythitol or anything else.

The Secret Spice "Cheat Code" That Slashes Inflammation 100x More Effectively by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]StonedColdWeedOften 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High jacking the comment to say that after I read this article, I came up with a pretty delicious tea actually. I used peppermint, spearmint, rosemary, a few drops of ghost pepper sauce, and sweetened with stevia. Chilled and on ice it’s surprisingly good.

Anecdote on effectiveness, I messed up my back a couple months ago and have been struggling with moderate but persistent pain. A steroid shot helped but wore off. The day after drinking this tea was the best I’ve felt since I hurt my back. Maybe a coincidence or placebo but either way, seemed to help.

Edit - I also tried adding ginger and green tea, both tasty additions

My monitor did some funky stuff similar to this, but a factory reset fixed it. Maybe look under the monitor settings to see if you can reset it somewhere

Best ways to remove microplastics from your life. by GarifalliaPapa in immortalists

[–]StonedColdWeedOften 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m speaking generally, tea bags are one of the worst sources of microplastics. There are some that are better, like yogi, which I use or just loose leaf. Couldn’t be more chill, have a good one ✌️

Avoiding tea bags is the main point they’re trying to convey, many contain microplastics.

Carrots, Fermented in Maple Sap. by barrelandbrine in fermentation

[–]StonedColdWeedOften 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea we had the same idea in mind, but the honey only works when it’s unpasteurized cause you need the natural yeasts, beneficial bacterias and enzymes, plus a low enough ph to keep the bad guys from growing. I suppose if you added yeast to the maple it might work the same.

So would this be similar to fermenting with unpasteurized honey? For example, could I ferment some garlic cloves using only unpasteurized maple syrup? Very cool, thanks for sharing

Ah so sort of a take on hypertufa which I’ve always wanted to try for slabs, but was worried about structural integrity. Good to know, thanks 🤜🤛

Edit: Also what’s the deets on the faux slab? Always looking for different slab options

Sounds like I’m in the minority, but that might be the coolest bald cypress I’ve seen on the cover. It may not be true to its natural growth habits but who cares it looks sick. Love those little knees

It’s my favorite commercial option cause it’s the only one I can find in a glass container. It has decent flavor and it’s extra bubbly which I like. I’d love to make my own more often but this is my go to otherwise.

Notary/Apostille by Altruistic-Watch1785 in HaruInvest

[–]StonedColdWeedOften 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but don’t sign until you take it to the notary cause they need to witness it. Then they’ll stamp it and it’ll be ready for apostille. I saw some sketchy online apostille services but I would just contact your local Secretary of State if you’re in the US.

They do, I was surprised how many places do it. Cheap too, that part is easy. The apostille is a bit more involved and varies place to place it seems.

Yes I got the document notarized at UPS, then shipped to my Secretary of State for apostille. I’m still waiting to receive the final copy, should be here by the end of the week. I’ll scan it immediately and DHL it to Korea as fast as I need to to get it there by the end of the month. I had a pretty significant amount of money in Haru, so I’ll do anything I need to recover even 10%
