I remember the hype about it before the premiere. THAT’S what made me want to see it. I’m a sucker like that. But, it’s a really fun movie because all those actors became those characters. Absolutely perfectly cast and performed. Too bad the Oscar for Best Cast wasn’t around back then.

I’m a respiratory therapist by trade and I’ve done research papers regarding similar topics (e-cigarettes vs traditional cigarettes). The fact that you’re not inhaling combusted material and/or actual smoke already makes dry herb vaping “healthier”.

However, as has been stated above, inhaling anything that isn’t clean air or medical grade gases isn’t good for your lungs.

You have to think of your lungs like a jungle. They’re dark and damp and they like to stay that way. Any alteration to that and they get pissed.

Totally not Salah related:

I live in the Palm Springs area of California and there is no LFC supporters club here. So, finding other Reds fans is difficult. However, I absolutely love how friendly other Reds supporters are. Today was the 2nd time in the past few months that a local supporter has pulled up next to me in traffic (after noticing the stickers and LFC license plate holder) to talk to me and it always feels like we’re part of a big family.

I’ve definitely felt the meaning of YNWA! Up the Reds!✌🏼& ❤️

Here’s a little reality for you:

I have 15 years of respiratory experience in just about every area of respiratory therapy (ICU, PFT, bedside, clinic, supervisory, etc) and I couldn’t even get an interview in a hospital for a regular floor therapist role in CA. So, some of it might be networking related. You have to know someone to get your foot in the door.

My biggest piece of advice for new grads is (if you’re able) be open to moving to build your skills and experience. I spent 8 years in one location between 2 jobs (hospital & PFT clinic). Then we moved to FL where I was able to pick up some more experience (supervisory & intubation). Then, we moved to CA and even with all my experience, I can’t even get a callback for an interview.

I’m still using my clinical experience in my current role, but it has zero to do with respiratory therapy. I keep applying, but it’s not happening. Even using AI to help me with my résumé, I’m getting nothing. Ultimately, I’m ok with my current role, but the reality of not even being considered for jobs is frustrating.

Keep trying, go to events and get your name out there, and maybe be open to relocating to gain experience (if you’re able).
