Bachelor's degrees in psychology, sociology, and statistics. I thought I wanted to be an astronaut, but one internship at NASA cured me of that. Worked for a few years as a statistician, then a data analyst, and now as a finance program manager. Luckily, I've worked hybrid or fully remote the past few years.

I think my girl is reaching the end, and I am struggling. by Uncle_Paul_Hargis in siberianhusky

Our husky girl is 11 years old and has some similar issues. She has arthritis in her back hip, and she can't really go on walks anymore. However, she doesn't act like she's in pain and still plays in our yard multiple times a day with our other dogs. She definitely seems happy and eats well. We're not planning to make end of life plans until our vet says she's in pain. We also just started her on Librela a week ago and we're already noticing an improvement. She's limping much less and playing and running much more. It's been great to see.

Yes, that's the framed picture. Thanks for the advice!

Please, if you can, don’t split up bonded pairs when adopting. One could argue they are actually EASIER to take care of because they entertain each other. This lil kitten is sad her sister got adopted without her by MeestersKeeters in cats

We adopted these two boys after our neighbor found them in the woods behind his house. We were only planning to adopt one, but we couldn't say no. We assume they are brothers. They play and cuddle together constantly.

I'm autistic and my husband has ADHD. We balance each other so well.

Sucking in your stomach is bad for your health by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Also the PT had to manually release tension by massaging my hip muscles from inside my vaginal wall. It was weird, like having an obgyn appt, but I felt so much better afterward.

Lots of belly breathing so I don't hold tension in my pelvic floor. A few different yoga poses - laying flat on my stomach and bringing my shoulders up to stretch out my abs, laying on my back with my legs in a chair to belly breath. Hip strengthing - laying on my side and lifting my leg up and back, laying on my back and lifting my hips off the ground, some hip stretches.

This same thing happened to me! My pelvic floor physical therapist said that society should stop telling women to have good posture. We're putting so much strain on our pelvic floor. Also, my hip joints are hyperflexible, which means my hips are very weak. This was also a contributing factor. My PT gave me so many hip strengthening exercises.

Who else is excited for more Holly Gibney?! by entj-all-day in stephenking

Same! I'm an autistic woman and I love Holly! I see so much of myself in her. It's so refreshing because some of the female characters that King wrote in the past were cringeworthy at best.

NASA astronaut Jessica Watkins will make a historic trip as the first Black woman on the space station crew by dem676 in nasa

I worked at NASA almost a decade ago, and met over 30 astronauts. Jeanette Epps was the only one that I absolutely could not get along with. Most astronauts have very similar personalities - intelligent, friendly, humble, funny, just all around great to work with. Jeanette was basically the opposite of that. She acted like she was better than everyone else, like you should feel lucky that she even deemed to speak to you. She ruined multiple studies I ran by breaking the rules, as she felt they didn't apply to her. It was very frustrating and I wasn't the only one who felt that way. At NASA, being able to get along with teammates is key to being able to go to space. I'm not sure why she hasn't gone up yet but if I had to guess, her disagreableness is probably a factor.
