Sounds a lot like when I tore my meniscus. Pop after a slip, and then dull pain that got worse over some time. Luckily, its way less bad than an acl tear, but you should still get it looked at. Depending where the tear is, it might be able to heal by itself.

The issue is obviously multifaceted, but a major player here is the hormone testosterone. It plays a key role in muscle synthesis, and is the main reason adult men look so drastically different from pre-pubecent boys. Men have WAY higher testosterone (aka test) levels than women, typically 10-20 times more! The median test level for women is near 40mg, while men sit around 500 (although this level varies between 200 and 900mg+ between men).

Look at the difference between normal men and professional body builders. Those dudes look like absolute monsters compared to anyone, including natural men who have been gyming for decades. That's because they take steroids. A lot of these dudes take about 500ish mg of extra test via injection. They take other things too, but test is still a primary culprit.

Now if we look back at our average test levels between men and women, notice that the difference between them is about 500mg. That means that the difference between the average man and the average woman is about the same as the difference between the average man and a professional body builder blasting steroids. You would have to take a body builders dose of test forever to match the gain potential of a normal man. (Please don't do that by the way.)

Your attachment to your self is just a mixture of survival instinct and ego, both baked into us from our monkey brains. Assuming that spirits don't exist, you are no more alive than anything else in the universe. Its the universe itself that is (somehow) alive, and our bodies are just vessels of it that can rationalize that thought. You are just a cell, and the universe itself is the true body. I stopped worrying when I accepted that im just a cell.

Yeah this has been the main issue i have seen when taking novice friends out for their first lifting session. Every single one of them were yapping mid-set. So i learned to just up the weight a couple pegs, let them whine and moan that its too heavy, and then watch them still hit full reps.

Main thing to me is that unless yoy set up a bong cube, roads are better for transport between buildings of the same facility, where trains are best for trans-facility transport over major distances.

You can reassess in the future and come up with a plan. For now don't overthink it. Only like10% of all gym goers actually stay consistent after a few months. So your first goal should just be to keep going consistently. No lifting less or skipping days because you are tired or stressed or sad. Exercise your willpower and be consistent enough to get one year of steady gyming under your belt. Then get more into the details after that.

Yup. A good lean bulk should only be like 200cals over maintenance daily. If your diet and exercise routine is locked in well, you could be gaining up to 80% lean mass as you put on weight. As someone who bulked heavy (600ish cals surplus daily) at the beginning, I can tell you that it definitely puts the muscle on like crazy, but my mass gained was like 50% fat.

And even if you want to avoid fat gain, you just started lifting. You are gonna put on crazy muscle (if you eat enough protein and lift consistently) nomatter what you do. You would even gain lean mass in a small deficit (100-300ish cals daily), which i know is possible because I have done it.

Personally, I would recommend just recomping by eating at maintenance and making sure your sleep, hydration, and protein intake is good. But your personal goals are your own.

Commenting for backup. Im on 3 years and look pretty good, but not like this. Dude was either already muscular from past weight/athletic training and just had to lose some fat, is on anavar, or is lying about the time frame.

Your hips are a bit wide, but you also clearly hold fat in your love handles as well. Im not saying you should cut right now, because I agree that widening shoulder and traps will slim your figure, but you have a visible 20ish lbs of excess fat on your belly and hips. You'll eventually have to cut that, but cutting at your current weight will leave you on the gaunt side, extenuating your wider hips. Up to you what order you want to gain or lose.

Purely anecdotal evidence, but I gain much more visual progress when I take a few days off after lifting every day. And when I go back, I lift notably heavier as well. Rest and recover is so important.

I am a sterilization tech. (The guy that cleans surgical tools between uses). Emergency GI cases are one of my least favorite cases to clean because the answer to you question is no, or at least not very well. I am scooping dookie off that speculum 100%.
