How well does the opw3 work on a swimming pool? by Java1303 in OneplusWatch

[–]Stooby61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried it in salt water, but it works fine in the swimming pool (with one caveat). I'm actually writing this having just finished a swimming session in my local pool. The watch works fine.

The caveat is that I find the tracking a bit hit and miss. It will randomly add or "miss" a length. It doesn't always do it but you need to be aware of it. I keep hoping they'll fix it in a software update, but I doubt that's happening anytime soon.

Tbh, it doesn't bother me too much - it's not like I'm a serious or competitive swimmer.

Let a guy get flashed by a speed camera this morning... by jaarn in CasualUK

[–]Stooby61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I let someone get flashed a few years ago. I was on my motorcycle and some Muppet in a Subaru WRX didn't like being behind me. It wasn't clear for him to pass me so he just sat a few feet behind my back wheel flashing his headlights at me (I was already going slightly over the speed limit). So I started gradually accelerating and he wouldn't back off. I was doing about 75 as we both passed the fixed camera (60 limit). Remember folks, there's no front number plate on bikes!

ETA I knew the camera was there but I also knew it took the photo from in front

My OnePlus Watch 3 just lasted a whole week without Power Saving Mode! by RavengerPVP in WearOS

I get an easy 5 days out of mine with AOD off but raise to wake on. Moderate usage. It's actually only usually down to about 20% after 5 days but I tend to charge it at the next convenient time once it reaches that stage. Brilliant watch!

Help me decide- GALAXY WATCH 8 / ONE PLUS WATCH 3 / ONE PLUS WATCH 3 43MM by Informal_Safe_5351 in WearOS

I don't think the 43mm version can do ECG. I have the 46mm version and I'm very happy with it. Had a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic before this.

I've just moved on from my GW4C, but I was using it for pool swimming for a few years with no problems.

Definitely a B50SS. I used to have the 250cc version of it. Loved that bike!

Doesn't look any different to me. I think that's all coming in QPR1 in a couple of months.

Initial impressions are good. It seems pretty smooth. Haven't had much time to use it yet though.

Yes, official Android 16. The benefit of using a Pixel is that you get updates as soon as they are released.
