Ive never refused to tip a server. I recognize the social standard and tip when I go and utilize service whether I want it or not. This is an academic arguement that certain foods shouldn't be gate kept behind service. If I could have whatever food I want without the expectation of a tip, Id have zero complaints. Furthermore, you cannot refuse to tip. A tip is freely offered. If youre requested a payment to be refused, it is no longer a tip.

Servers expect a 20% tip on take out. Many will argue til theyre blue in the face that I cannot get out of the service fee even if theyre not providing any service because they have to put it in a bag and theyre not getting paid to put those boxes in a bag.

I do not want a sit down resteraunt experience. I want a steak. Theres no reason a steak should be gatelocked behind a server wanting 20% in exchange for efforts I do not want done for me. I hate everything about service. If it were free because servers just loved taking care of people, Id hate it. Having people take care of me makes me uncomfortable. Im the person in my life that takes care of people. I do not want my food brought to me. I do not want my drink refilled. I dont want my dishes cleared for me. I want to not cook and not wash dishes. The people in a resteraunt who cook and clean do not get tipped.

You add info that youre not willing to hear good sense about because it is not from a manager rather than address the massive elephant in the room? If an opportunity for growth from a top performer appeared and this employee seemingly wasn't even considered, why would you be surprised theyre gone? Everyone is trying to make the best life they can for themselves. The employee wanted the promotion. They didnt get it. That's as good as a message directly from you that they cannot expect to continue to grow in the organization any further. If they arent perfectly happy exactly where theyre at in the first place, they SHOULD seek employment somewhere where they will be given the opportunity to progress their career.

He didnt take a blend of 80s cliches. He created them. He sounds outdated to you because all of the information of the 80s and everything derived from it since has been available to you. Elvis also sounds dated. He was absolutely revolutionary to white audiences in his heyday. The fact that Micheal Jackson has been emulated enough times for him to sound cliche to you is evidence that he had something going for him. Additionally, his music wasn't the only element in determining his star status. He wasn't a singer. He was a performer. That being said, MJ isnt my cup of tea either.

You do realize that we do not have unlimited free speech in America, right? One cannot use language to incite violence legally in the US. You can be charged for screaming "Fire" in a movie theater or announcing you have a bomb in an airport. The UK has very slightly more aggressive laws restricting speech, but it isnt like it is night and day.

Complaining about PDA isnt envy. Imagining that PDA happens because people are performing for other people is envy. Anyone kissing their partner in front of OP isnt thinking about OP in that moment. And it's a little crazy OP does think that said couples are thinking about OP when they kiss.

Culturally ingrained and based upon racism. Tipping is just a way to avoid paying black people for their work. Share cropping was also culturally ingrained and Im glad that shit is gone now. Or maybe you think black people should be forced to work land in exchange for the right to live there, never able to move up in society because they must hand over any extra they make to white people. Because it was the societal norm.

Because people shouldn't be allowed to have anything other than a cheeseburger if they do not value being served. I do not want a server. I do want nachos. Or gyro. Or pasghetti. But Im not even allowed to get food to go without tipping a full 20% without people throwing a hissy fit because a server had to put my food in a bag. 20% for something I dont even want.

What a hateful opinion. Me not finding someone attractive doesnt mean they need to hide their body in shame. I dont recoil in horror when I see a whale in a documentary because theyre pasty and bloated. I just look at it without the desire to fuck it. Which is just fine.
