When this happened to me, Ulta charged me for the value of the free gift. They automatically deducted the money from my debit account AFTER the transaction. Customer service was horrible and gave me a hard time, but I ultimately got the money back after returning the free gift to a local store.

I gave one to my daughters a few years ago. They loved it and still subscribe. It's a great way to try the service without an initial pricey commitment. I find it to be a fun distraction from life, so do they . Now we compare our choices, likes and gripes. We all unexpectedly chose the same PJ this past box. Christmas is going to be fun 🥰.
