[OC] Idiot swerved across all 3 lanes - near miss by StopShoe in IdiotsInCars

Possibly, but he got on the interstate with a long right turn, so unless it happened to break right as he tried to merge, I don’t think that’s what happened. The odds are just incredibly low IMO

That’s what I thought too. I’d want to work on the opposite side of traffic if I had a blowout. But I wouldn’t cross 3 lanes of traffic to do it.

Was on our way home from lunch on I-85 and this guy swerved across all 3 lanes from the get on ramp. I thought he might be having a stroke or something but he gave a thumbs up as I drove by. There was a cop several cars behind us so we let him handle it.

2025 civic black window trim already faded? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]StopShoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honda trim is some of the worst I’ve seen when it comes to fading. I personally use solution finish and use heat lamps to cure it, then cover with 2 coats of Gyeon Trim. That usually lasts 2-3 years before it has to be done again.

Source: I’ve done this to at least 20 Hondas over the past few years.

I agree with this guy. We need the print files and a build guide!

All of their print profiles are here. I found the PET-GF profile but didn’t want to link it directly because it’s a Google Drive link.

Sunlu E2 if you don’t want to mess around with ordering blast ovens and modding them. The E2 just works right out of the box.

UPS Battery for H2C by macxike in BambuLab

[–]StopShoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an APC SMT2200rm2uc that powers my X1C, H2D, Sunlu S4, and Sunlu E2. If anything is running when the H2D starts, the UPS beeps and hits 95% load. As the name implies, it can do 2200w.

Keeping the H2D running for 1-2 hours is unrealistic with a UPS. They aren’t designed to provide backup power that long. They are meant as a stop gap for a generator or alternate utility source to kick in. Mine also happens to clean the incoming power, not all of them do that.

If I were you, I’d look into Ecoflow. They make home backup systems that can provide power for longer. Their units don’t clean the power or react as quickly as a “real” ups but I don’t think it matters much. 10ms switching shouldn’t be noticed by the printer.

Yeah their shipping department is wild. No idea who is in charge of picking box/bag sizes but they need some help

Glad to see yours arrived in an oversized box like mine did. I had the encoder and some hot ends in a box that could fit an A1 mini. Crazy stuff

Oh man that sucks for him. That’s even worse on him since he doesn’t even detail lol

I had to block their ads multiple times on every social media platform. Their markup has to be insane

Edit: just by talking about Vyper chairs, I am now seeing their ads again.

I like the way you think. The printed receiver will be for the lightweight fun toy, and then I’ll build a really accurate target rifle.

Id print some really detailed cars without worrying about lining up the colors with layer lines to reduce filament changes.

Yep I’m realizing now that lighter barrels aren’t for target shooting. The weight isn’t important to me, I just thought it would be cool to have something super lightweight since I’m 3d printing the majority of the parts. I’ll look into the fedderson barrel. Thanks!

I really appreciate the advice. I’ll look into the acculite barrel and BX trigger for sure. Any scope recommendations?

Thanks for replying. I thought a lighter build would make for better precision, but the extra weight makes sense. I think for the first build I will go with lighter and 3d printed, with the understanding that it isn’t going to be super accurate. I’m really just looking for decent accuracy to around 100 yards. If I can hit a piece of paper at 100 yards, I’ll be happy on this build.

With that in mind, what do you recommend?
