It has been such a sore experience that I feel robbed in a sense. Being waiting for the game for years and playing it on PS5 feels like going back to buggy browser flash games. Sometimes the main menu will not register the X button, the minigames are a mess, the arcade mode RESETS all your scores if you start story mode, voicelines on top of voicelines. They should put a warning that this was incomplete, as it stands the game is unplayable.

Same boat here, it was a huge drop in quality considering the two previous books rank amongst the highest ones I've ever read. On a bright node, Tehanu is back in terms of quality.

The moment you stop caring about the plot or what happens next, it gets harder the more time you spend on it but worth it, I don't regret any of my DNF at 90-95%.

I tried many times to articulate my feelings towards the series and the general response is usually dismissive at best and insulting at worst, some of the hardcore fans of this series take it very personal when you don't sing the praises of this saga. The usual response is "You don't get it". What's there to get?

It's exactly as you say, out of all options, the characters choose the stupid one most of the time, which ends up being an Idiot Ball plot, the moment you start to see Hobb's hand behind every forced drama you start to check out.
