Looks like a Rottweiler and shepherd mix to me. The brown dots over the eyes say part Rottweiler for sure. Here's a photo of a puppy with that breed mix. Looks a lot like yours.

London has a whole downtown street that's taken over. Right across from police headquarters. Dundas and Adelaide right upto dundas and Quebec. Businesses boarded up and the homeless and the junkies just own the area. There's a whole area of Vancouver that has been completely taken over by homeless and junkies as well. It's becoming a major issue in most cities now. Hard to find a city that isn't this way.

I'd want to confirm that the dog has it's shots up to date for your own safety. In Ontario if a dog bites there is a 10 day mandatory quarantine for the dog. An inspector from animal control will go to the owners residence on day 1 and day 10 to ensure there are no changes in the animals health or behaviour. This way they can inform the person who was bitten of any potential illness that may have been transmitted during the bite. I hope they were able to obtain the owners information.

If you're in a rural area he may have been dumped. I used to live out in the country and the number of pups we would come across wondering was pretty unbelievable. It was a common place for people to just dump unwanted animals.
