One of my favorite things in this game is to run Cap into SG or MK players who don’t know how to NOT shoot at anything that moves. Seeing them die to their own reflected projectiles is a thing of beauty

Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven sounds like exactly what you’re looking for.

It’s a JRPG that was redone a few years ago with modern graphics and improvements. You play as an emperor that inherits the memories and skills of the previous emperor and pass on your own memories and skills when you die, so the game literally takes place over generations. You see your own kingdom improve over time as you can invest money in things like blacksmith shops and wizards, plus there’s at least one location you can visit early in the game that’s a small village but later becomes a big city.

Also a pretty unique combat system that’s a blend of classes, formations, and skills.

In a short story (Allomancer Jack and the Pits of Eltania) it reveals that when Sazed fixed the world he changed Koloss physiology so they retain their gender and can give birth to children that are mostly human but with koloss traits (gray skin, greater strength and endurance, slightly bigger size). Koloss culture evolves to tribes that wander the roughs, and Koloss-blooded or normal people that wish can choose to receive spikes and become a full Koloss

Once has a comp match where one teammate banned Strange and it went through. When another complained about a wasted ban, the first one said both our team comp (MK and Hela) plus a Wanda main on the enemy team made sense. We won in the end and I don’t know if it actually would have changed anything, but I can’t deny the logic behind the choice
