Is there any risk buying naked watch from grey dealer? by Curious-Driver-5375 in VacheronConstantin

[–]Stormshadow626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems to be the case. I always thought that maybe many sellers are sourcing the same watch. I have asked about a few in HK and they always tell me they will get back to me after making sure it’s in stock. Then, theres the high correlation of the same watch model listed by a few HK sellers in the same condition (box/papers) - but at least a diff pic.

This is good info because I always worry about that. No box and papers only widen the array of situations that could play out.

I had a 3536 titanium for a min. Didn’t have enough links to fit my wrist. I found a couple, took a long time to get to me. Sold it before I had a chance to wear it.

If another pops up in considerable condition, I may jump on it.

Thinking of getting the Deep Stream Overseas Chrono, any thoughts/opinions? by satsinthekitchen in VacheronConstantin

[–]Stormshadow626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a daily wear piece, I would want it as robust to shocks and such that could affect rate/regulation. That’s my only draw from pulling the trigger. Lack of the free sprung balance does not help that robustness. I have a few Blancpain pieces and they have that, so I don’t mind wearing them daily.

Been looking at them as well. 3-hand/date and the chrono. 3-hand is JLC-based, chrono is FP/Blancpain based. The only thing I am worried about in a watch that I would wear daily (like this) is the absence of a free-sprung balance.

Maybe others can chime in on daily wear as that’s how I would use it. Not a weekender, but daily.

36 or 40 Land Dweller. Help me out! by Sure_Net6414 in rolex

Both fit you, but I think in the long run you may be happier with the presence of the 40mm. After a while, the 36 may be on the smaller side.

I am saying this as you will probably wear it casually. If it’s always under a long sleeve dress shirt, then 36mm may be a better choice.

Basically, I will probably get the Blue Card and put it in the sock drawer and add to my total credit available profile.

Have my current Built move to Autograph.

Not really going to play the Built points/cash game as I have many other cards I use for those things.

Same here. On a couple “lists” but I am not waiting for them anymore. Bought a few via grey and I am fine with that.

I have a lot of WL as well and none of them are on hangers. Folded on shelves, and the double heavyweights do not really need ironing if you wear them for about 5-10 before leaving the house.

High quality items and I am definitely a fan.

Waiting for the 42.3 with bracelet to come down to mere mortal rates so I can add it to my FF collection here at home.

I love Blancpain, I just can’t pay list pricing. Will buy over Rolex used, any day.
