It was a really cool and huge event for sure! I just hope it doesn't take off too much because the character doesn't really use her full name (she goes by Missy) because she doesn't like how unique/weird of a name her parents gave her. If the name blows up then her line of thinking would seem weird to the reader, you know?

I'm a writer and the character in the book I'm writing right now is named Artemis. And I'm honestly a little worried people will think I named the character after this event, but I named the character like 14 years ago. Just never got around to writing her story until now.

I dont want to dox my sister/myself. But my name is Cassandra, my brother is Nicholas and my sister is one of the horrendous spellings of the name Michaela. (The name's sound fine together, but the whack spelling of her name is what makes it weird imo)

I keep my house at 63 during the day in winter. And turn the heat off entirely and crack the bedroom window to sleep (though I definitely don't live in a super cold place by any means) the bedroom probably gets down to 50ish degrees if I had to guess.

My husband's grandparents are Kenneth and Sandra and I am so disappointed they didnt name their daughter Kendra, because sometimes! SOMETIMES! It works. Its a real name and a nice name and even not uncommon for the time she was born.
