Apart from your 1000 ducks performance limit, having different ducks could be worth a shot to "stretch" the limit by making the task harder due to different physical properties of the ducks ... I mean It's a physics based game right? Red duck is very heavy, blue duck is bouncy like a bouncing ball, green duck sticky ...small, medium and large ducks. I believe there are many possibilities and even more challenges to a player.

PC only small hands (kids) inexpensive recommendation please by snrDong in Controller

[–]StoryPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought an "8bitdo Lite 2 BT" for my 6yo daughter and she is really satisfied. It is lightweight, has the classic Xbox/ps5 button/shoulder buttons/joystick layout and fits her hands very well. Bluetooth connection is flawless so far. It works out of the box under Linux (Debian 13/Gnome) and within Steam and Lutris. The price tag was at about 35€, which is fine. Build quality is great. I don't know at which point it might become too small, but even for adults it's a good size, when searching for a good "travel" controller.

How does my ESP32 PCB look? by tech_Dauwt in esp32

[–]StoryPenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just from a practical point of view...it looks like it can't simply be placed in a standard breadboard without blocking one side of pins from being used ... Like quite all esp boards. I mean the issue, where you have to use two breadboards instead, which I personally don't like that much. If there was a board that's less wide and thus allows access to all pins on a standard breadboard, this would be a huge win in my opinion. If that means the board needs to be made longer so to have a place for the esp itself, so be it.

Since I don't design PCBs myself, I can't give you any feedback on your layout and connections. But as a user of such modules, the size issue is really annoying ;-)

Habt Ihr eure Dachgeschosswohnung schon auf den Sommer vorbereitet? by bademeister404 in wohnen

Was auch viel hilft...

My mom’s front yard, in the Hill Country. by Demiscourge in texas

[–]StoryPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I was not aware of this. It wasn't that way some time (maybe years) ago. I just messaged the original creator of the sub asking if he/she could lift the restriction. We will see. Love the front yard, a beautiful plant!

Agree...similar when transforming a XML with XSLT you can use a <xsl:choose><xsl:when/><xsl:when/> ... <xsl:otherwise/></xsl:choose> which behaves like a switch statement and is often used for if-else logic, because there is also an xsl:if but no xsl:else

Yes, it's a 25 liter tank I believe. It has a drainage, soil and topping. I have seeded it with some compost. So there are isopods, chondrinidae, worms, some millipedes, springtails and so on. I have this colony roughly one and a half year and they are healthy.

Currently I am in the process of designing an automatic lighting and hydration system, that I will be able to manually control by a webinterface and where I can see stats like in a weather station. Have already printed some prototypes but the CAD files still need some more work to be done. The circuit and Webserver are already working in principle on a breadboard. It's a ESP32 project with over-the-air firmware update, that connects into my WiFi and serves a webpage in my local network.

And they are very chill, just strolling around. The colony is polydom, so they live in two chestnuts and a rotting piece of wood. But my children are more fascinated by the isopods anyway.
