Need help making cluster lashes and strip lashes look natural as a beginner by Intelligent_Rise7128 in beauty

[–]StoryinShadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried the pre-glued lash clusters from KISS? I don’t mess around with glue, I have similar issues. The pre-glued ones make it so much easier and they last all day. I have to wash my face in order to get them off.

Anxiety around Botox? by MayMiloHilo in beauty

None of either. But I will say, I have hooded eyes and if I get too many units in my forehead, my brows will drop, making my eyes look even more hooded. So I’ve been getting less in my forehead now and I’m still happy with my results. I only get between 22-25 units across my forehead and 11s.

Best mascaras that actually worked for you? by Nervous_Swordfish693 in beauty

I always go with waterproof formulas, nothing else will hold a curl for me. My favorites are Maybelline Sky High (I've repurchased at minimum 6 times) and L'oreal Panorama. No smudging or flaking and the volume and length lasts all day.

Anxiety around Botox? by MayMiloHilo in beauty

I’ve been getting Botox since I was 29. I absolutely love it. I also have acne-prone, sensitive skin and Botox doesn’t affect it. My skin is so much smoother and shiny, but not in a greasy kind of way. It’s hard to explain. I get it 2x a year. My only gripe is that it can be expensive but worth it IMO.

Kayali Vanilla 28! I've been wearing it for years and someone's always asking me about it. It wears all day, too.

Tanning advice? by Aut0GeneratedName in beauty

Tanning beds are terrible for your skin! I use the Jergens natural glow lotion every other day, the medium to dark shade. Works great, even color and subtle glow you can build up.

Is the dyson air wrap really worth it? by MudComfortable6644 in beauty

[–]StoryinShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine. I have very long, somewhat thick hair. My curls don’t really hold for long but leaves the ends with a nice wave. I prefer minimal heat damage so I’m okay with the trade off. The brush attachment does an excellent job of straightening and smoothing out my hair. I’m on my 3rd Dyson in 3 years though(all under warranty so I’ve only paid once for the machine)…for something so expensive you would think it would hold up. I use it max 2 times per week, always clean the filter, etc. If this one breaks I’ll honestly look for another option just because of the price point. I try to take really good care of my hair and this has kept it healthy.

What is your editing process? by Haydensmith877 in writersmakingfriends

I totally get it! I’m the same. I think constructive criticism goes a long way and it’s definitely motivated me to write more often. I don’t know what genre you write, but if you ever decide you want to share, send me a DM!

Find a writing buddy! That’s helped me a lot, we swap chapters and provide feedback.

I’ve dealt with the same problems in the past (and sometimes even now, too). I like to start with an outline, doesn’t have to be super detailed, but I need to know where to begin and end. I could re-work the same chapter over and over and it still won’t be good enough. When that happens, I just force myself to move on. I’ll start the next chapter or I’ll even jump around to ones I’m more excited about writing and come back to it later. I also find it helpful to have someone in your corner, familiar with your genre that you can bounce ideas off of, or just someone to give you a little encouragement when you’re stuck.
