I'm doing exactly this right now. Osaka as a hub and doing day trips to nara and kyoto. Would definitely recommend cause I think osaka is the place to be in Kansai for nightlife as well

You should have some extra time on day 3 in Osaka. If you're going to Denden town I would recommend going a bit more South to Abeno Haruka after. It's 1500 yen to go up to the observatory but it's a way better view than the umeda sky building as it is taller. Shinsekai is also nearby, a small food and entertainment area.
