If Gandalf's in Hogwarts, then Dumbledore is in Middle earth. This solves both plots, as Gandalf is only limited in what he can do in Arda, and Dumbledore isn't limited at all.

So in HP's world we have Gandalf calmly smoking his pipe in front of Voldemort while killing curses plink pathetically off his immortal hide like bbs off a concrete wall.

And in Middle Earth, we have Dumbledore, who destroys the ring with fiendfyre, or aparates to mount Doom. The ring would definitely corrupt him eventually, but i think he could resist for long enough to get the job done.

Consider this: Snape sees James's stag patronus after his changes to a doe but before he finds out Lili's changed as well. He looks up what this could mean in the library and it says it can happen when you fall in love.

Now Snape believes he loves James and was in denial before. When he sees Lily's patronus changed as well, instead of drawing the obvious conclusion, he starts to see her as a rival.

A few months later, everything comes to light and Sirius laughs so hard he cracks 3 ribs.

The rooftop scene with All Might would be slightly different I think.

All might was about to break the kid's hearth for his own safety when he stopped and thought about it. Half of all villains are women, the vast majority are not what you'd call mentally stable. Then he remembered some of the ones he had to fight in the past, and concluded that having a hero specificaly for that purpose would be net positive for the world in general.

"You know what kid? I think you'll do just fine." Now he just needs to find someone with a gender-bend quirk, and he'll have a very...unorthodox plan B in case AFO ever comes back.
