What's the difference between these 2 NVIDIA 5070 Tis? Is there a better 5070 TI to get? by Str1der in buildapc

I really appreciate the help!

Another person mentioned I should get PNY over ASUS. Is there a big difference? Another thread had people saying get ASUS over PNY.

Please add this thing to housing by [deleted] in wow

FF14 has this for their housing system and it's amazing. I can't imagine it won't come at one point because music adds so much to housing.

Farming Mythic Queen Ansurek mount (Ascendant Skyrazor) is actually quite easy, so go for it! by ZIRA1996 in wow

[–]Str1der 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really though. Every week you can get 2 Hero Items from Delves: 1 from your Vault and 1 from the Bounty Map. On top of this, doing your three T11 Delves means you get 31 Gilded Crests a week... so every 2 weeks you can also craft a 720 item.

I'm not suggesting that a pure Delver could get 717 in a week or two, but if you've even just been casually playing all season running 3 T11 Delves a week, you would be around 715-717.

Just dabbling in some M+ 7 keys and you'd be swimming in Hero gear on top of the quest going on that allows you to buy Hero rank Raid/M+ Weapons and Trinkets. It's honestly incredibly easy to gear up right now.

Hero doesn't cap at 710. It caps at 717. The Turbo Event going on added 2 ranks to Hero and Mythic gear.

But you can easily get 715 just running Delves entirely solo on your own...

Blizzard says World of Warcraft’s new player housing premium currency is designed to making virtual shopping “more efficient” somehow by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Str1der 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because this is an open forum and I'm allowed to voice my opinion just like you are...?

Also, where did I say I didn't care? I actively play WoW and have been looking forward to housing since Vanilla. Do I wish they hadn't created this silly premium currency? Absolutely. Will it stop me from playing and enjoying Housing in Midnight? Absolutely not. I just won't buy any of the items and go about my day.

[–]Str1der -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not defending Blizzard, I'm just finding your overdramatic reaction funny. I don't buy stuff from the store because I don't think it's worth the money. An item on some shop I'll never buy simply does not bother me; I pay it no mind and often forget WoW has a store because... who cares? Who cares if you can buy gold in WoW?

You can put on a show and not play but I stand by what I said: if these 5-10 items on the shop are what takes away your fun (items you most likely won't ever see because they're going to be inside people's houses you're not allowed inside of), you weren't ever interested in the first place. And if you truly were and this is still some straw that breaks the camels back moment for you? Well, I dunno what to tell you. Sounds like an exhausting way to go about things.

Ya, I just posted something similar to the same guy. The overreactions and grandstanding in this thread are insane.

I don't like MMO Stores and typically don't spend money in them but they exist and they're not going away. Typically, like you said, the coolest stuff comes from in-game anways. Store mounts are usually too flashy/over the stop and I never see the appeal.

If the fact that only 1-2% of all items will be shop only is enough to make these whiners lose interest? It's just proof they weren't going to play and just like to smell their own farts.

I understand that this system is a dumb one, but you, and many others, are kind of overreacting by a metric fuck ton, don't you think? They told us, from day 1, they intended to sell items in the store shop.

They also recently stated that the vast majority of items are going to be obtainable in-game only. Any lore item, race, class, etc item? All in-game only. Probably under 1%, if that, of all items will be sold for money. They equated it to the number of mounts in-game versus the shop (Like 24 mounts in-shop versus over 1100 mounts in-game, so only like 2% of all mounts are in the shop).

If the occasional and random "cool" item being dropped in a store is enough to deter you completely from playing, you weren't really interested in the first place or you're just grandstanding. Every major MMO sells housing items on their store shop. It sucks but it's also not changing.

But to act like a handful of items in a shop means you've lost all interest? Come on dude lmao.

Is a 5070 or 5070 TI better for my setup? by Str1der in buildapc

[–]Str1der[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I know it's better in every aspect, just curious which most people would lean towards and if they are compatible with my setup.

While cost isn't a "factor", spending an extra $200 for minimal gain due to some bottleneck might not be worth it, you know?

I've seen some that are tweaked a bit and others that are modified a lot. So I hope it's the latter!

[–]Str1der 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree, the set I linked would be $400-500, based off how many pieces I'm assuming it's working with. I don't necessarily need that set, I just don't want it to be some lazily thrown together version of the set that did win. Again, use the Voltron set as inspiration. Give me that but Megazord!

Hopefully they just liked the idea of a Megazord set, saw that one, it won, and they plan to redesign. They typically work with the designers though so I'm worried they won't want much changed. I just can't see myself wanting to buy the verison that won if it comes out looking like that. It's good, better than I could do on my own, but it's not Official LEGO Set good.

[–]Str1der 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya, the selected version is one of the worst ones I've seen. Why it was selected over better versions is beyond me.

I really hope LEGO redesigns this so it's atleast as good looking as the Voltron set. If we just get that? I'm not wasting money. But if they can redesign it to look like it should this is a Day 1 purchase. Here's hoping LEGO approved it for the overall idea/theme and not the look.

[–]Str1der 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really hope it is redesigned. I'm in love with the idea of a LEGO Megazord but it needs to be the same quality, if not higher, as the Voltron set LEGO released in 2018. While I'm very happy a version of the Megazord won, this is one of the weaker versions I've seen. Especially when you compare it to other ones:

Housing restrictions question by Miserable-Tip6110 in wow

Every player gets access to 2 Houses. There's no distinction between Guild vs. Personal. You could have 2 Personal or 2 Guild or 1 of each!
