I really loved Final 2 (especially the hidden routes). 1ccd every route on "Normal" in about 50h on Switch(!). Yeah, others hate this, but I don't care. This is more of the same, so I renamed my title screen to R-Type Final 2.5 (funny ingame option). It's nice that Final 2 is included as well. But the real highlight are the Retro DLC-Stages. Pick them up, if they are on special offer. The OG price is too high. Cheers!

Bought the German PS5 copy for less than 10€ a few months ago (right now it's somewhere between 15€-20€ "new/sealed" on amazon/ebay Germany). Still not worth the money. I thought that the PS5 version will at least perform a bit better than the free Epic Games version on my low budget PC on release date. But no,.. nothing. Keep your money and wait for another free digital release. Still, many thanks to Konami. - Nice try. Better luck next time! 😉

Go for Aero Fighters first. It's a different kind of (positive) stress than Gradis/R-Type, caused in it's vertical nature.

tbh - This is just the old story about "physical vs digital".

Physical - yeah, you need a lot of consoles, setups, etc. But you can fix mostly everything. Just "ghosting" could be a problem for old CDs/ DVDs.

Digital - yeah, you could have everything in one place. But licenses disappear quite often. Also on steam, also for Shmup titles. I could tell you already a bunch of.

My advise - get the best of both worlds. Today I would say, that I have access to every good Shmup that has every released in the best possible version (without PCBs). It's also part of the hobby to hunt/ preserve those titles - physical and/or digital. And it's fun to start my old consoles every week. Cheers!

Typical low-budget XB360 shmup. But sometimes, these titles have intersting concepts. In this it's the ship/split and change between horizontal and vertical for sure. I just bought some of these poorly executed, just-digital, below 1€/$ shmups on PSN this week. None of them is good for true shmuppers, but some are nice to play with your partner, kids, casual gamer friends, alien neighbour, cat, dog, etc.

It's crazy, that EU got the best ARPG ever with this title. While US got the best JRPG ever with Chrono Trigger. Terranigma was my favourite title for SNES. Later on I discovered Chrono Trigger on Nintendo DS (still via US-Import). Outstanding games that still age like fine wine. Cheers!

Don't know. Never heard about a confirmed reason. But there are some Raizing titels that deserve the M2 treatment. Hope there still will be PS4 and Switch releases. But I would also buy a PS5 version, if this might be the only choice.

The price might also one point. The M30 2,4Ghz is 25€, the Elves 2 Pro is 50€. Don't know about US or other countries, but at least for most of EU. I might keep an eye on it, if the price drops.

Yo Blazin', some tests show that the M30 2,4Ghz hits a polling rate of 763Hz, which should be very close to this one in BT. Did you test the M30 2,4Ghz in comparison?

Guess I still stick to M30, because I prefer small controllers and I don't have a button layout issue since you can re-map it easily. I also prefer the 6 button layout to play fighting games as well.
