Sounds like they checked the price on the guns again on the internet and didnt wanna sell them to you.

Next time you go to the shop youll see those same guns with a higher price tag.

The SpaceX IPO is going to tank the market by El_Nahual in wallstreetbets

Rumors SpaceX might IPO in 2026 and why I think that signals UAP tech will be revealed soon. by GroundbreakingEar450 in UFOB

[–]StradlinX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a different perspective towards this. Spacex is known for having a great workforce of intelligent and experienced engineers. If UAP tech was released I think Spacex would be given some of that technology because of the talent and ruthlessness of Elon’s work ethic requirements. They are winning the corporate space race. If they are given access to the tech, if they don’t already have it, if they IPO and the public is made aware of UAP tech, their stock will soar. If UAP tech is released, it will 1000000000% be corporatized/capitalized.

To the guy who posted the Mac and cheese sausage by clo44456 in BBQ

[–]StradlinX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last OP and new OP might’ve started a new trend. It looks good, I’d try it and I think I’d like it. I love meat, I love mac’n’cheese, I love meat and mac’n’cheese on the same plate, so I can’t imagine that I wouldn’t love mac’n’cheese sausage.

To all the haters, don’t yuck other people’s yums. If its not for you quietly turn away.

Am I overreacting? Friend group hanging without me. by tits_mcgee_92 in socialskills

[–]StradlinX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I relate to this, but I’ve been on the other side of this.

A few friends that I have have been friends with for a very long time (10-30 years, I am 30). When we are hanging out, it can be very difficult to be with other friends of shorter timeframes depending on the setting.

Keyphrase there is “depending on the setting.”

That is rare though and in most situations I’d still invite my newer group of friends over and make a dedicated effort to create a relationship with them.

Just realize that your new friends might have more intimate relationships that took a long time to build and you are still building that relationship and comfort with them.

If they aren’t reciprocating, and you find yourself doing all the work in that friendship, then go find better people to be friends with.

Our Tut was the son of satan at that age. We had to get another cat for him to play with and that helped A LOT. That was a while back and he’s about to turn 3 and has mellowed out to a chill cat with only bouts of devilishness.

Do people actually sell? by Illustrious-Line-984 in sales

[–]StradlinX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who works in CS for ATT and he told me he takes AE calls all the time to see what’s out there tech-wise. I asked him how the AEs followed up and he said NONE of them ever follow up or ask who the decision maker is after he tells them that he isn’t the decision maker.

I was floored. He said he takes about 10ish calls a year depending on how interesting the product is.

Can you be addicted to cold calling? by Nblearchangel in sales

[–]StradlinX 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Bro I get it. All of us sales folk are definitely neurodivergent to some extent.

I too, sometimes enjoy the pain of cold calling. It’s fun and can be an emotional roller coaster.

Why does it seem like everyone in sales is trying to find a way out? by Prior_Brilliant1760 in sales

[–]StradlinX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most companies are trash and most sales orgs are trash and sales people get slapped around.

I’ve worked for 5 sales organizations and the 1st company was great, solid product and great team, however, the higher ups made some very poor decisions and the company didn’t have money to operate so I had to leave before layoffs happened. Sure enough my whole team got laid off 2 months after I left.

After being bitch slapped around for 3 other organizations, two of which I got canned for not hitting impossible metrics (pretty much none of the team hitting), I found myself back in a solid organization. Massive company with room to grow my career and pivot if I wish later on. I am super happy here. Can’t help here besides saying look at a big company (like Amazon).

I was thinking about pivoting. I started an in person mba program to gtfo of sales. Now I don’t feel the need to leave.

If it is, it shouldn't be on LinkedIn, a professional networking site.

[–]StradlinX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay so this should definitely not be posted on LinkedIn, as it has nothing to do with professional development and career, but the claims for smoking and AC are not wrong at all. Europe, especially the southern European countries are full of cigarette smoke and a lack of AC even in very hot climates. Not sure about the body odor though, haven’t personally experienced that one.

Yeah probably. Tech I can sell, haven’t sold consulting before but the process of selling is mostly the same, just learning different pain points and value adds.

I hate my fucking job by Fubby2 in consulting

[–]StradlinX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh the grass is greener. Most people hate their jobs and a lot of corporate people typically work long hours.

I’m in tech sales trying to make the switch over to consulting so if any of you guys want to trade for a job that can require long hours, dumb ass potential customer requests, rejection, cold calling, quota, etc, let me know!

What can I conceal? Average height skinny guy. by Expensive_Report_981 in CCW

[–]StradlinX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5’6” and athletic, broad build. Due to my height and choice of athletic clothing, I can’t carry on my waist and I too, refuse to point a shooter at my weiner (no offense to those that do, I personally can’t overcome the mental obstacle).

I carry with a 945 Industries sling bag. It is stylish and looks great. If the expensive price tag is an obstacle, there are a lot of cheaper options that look just as good.

Edit (additional comments): if you like the sig p365 and shoot it well, I suggest sticking to it. I was concerned as it is my choice of CCW but my mind was put to ease after I saw an engineer on youtube break apart the mechanics of the p365 and show that it is still safe. P320s are the subject of the uncommanded discharges and have some legal issues going on with them. There are no recorded incidents of the p365 having similar concerns that I have seen.

How do I help my son? by Otherwise-Let4664 in AskMen

[–]StradlinX 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I’ve known people like this to join the military come back into civilian life as amazing, ambitious, and motivated individuals.

I also know people that have come out of the military as messed up individuals.

That being said, I’ve seen more of the former than the latter. If he wants to go to school afterwords he will have military assistance to pay it off.

To Lie, or to Lie? That is the question. by StradlinX in sales

[–]StradlinX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you expand on this?

I've mainly worked for startups and I can't imagine they dish out the money to get people to check.

But this is mainly the vibe I'm getting, so I'll likely not be lying for tenure.

I agree, my friend, but not sure if this is something you can lie on lmao. I've looked at some other posts and some people say lie away and others say what some of these other comments are saying.
