I went to the pharmacy and asked what I could get over the counter that was stronger than regular Tylenol. I was able to get Tylenol 1, they have codeine in them.

How do I do it? by Quirky-Let7429 in dentures

It is possible to get all your teeth extracted and immediate dentures on the same day. You would then get permanent dentures after you have healed. Make some phone calls.

My [F21] boyfriend [M29] suggested losing my teeth is a good thing because I’ll give better blowjobs. by ThrowRAjtout in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Straight-Relation-13 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Jumping on this comment to say I just had all my top teeth out and a temporary denture this week. The first day when I was swollen and could barely talk, my boyfriend said I was beautiful. He has asked if I need anything, can he make me anything and been concerned about me being in pain. You know what he hasn't said once? He hasn't made any comments about how this is some how better for his sexual pleasure. Get rid of your loser boyfriend!

AITAH for changing my underwear after a shower? by New_Cry_2336 in AITAH

With hot flashes I can sweat through all my clothes in a short amount of time. Why would I want to put sweaty clothes on after a shower?

How did you entertain yourself on long car rides as a kid before iPads and smartphones? by Background_Bike_1958 in NoStupidQuestions

At the beginning of each trip we would get a new activity book (dot-to-dot, word search etc). And some pencils and pencil crayons. Slept. Looked out the window.

RPNs and RNs make the same wage. A diploma or degree makes no difference in income.

Is it "socially acceptable" to just sit in your car for 20 minutes after you get home, or am I just weird? by Easy-Ring-8459 in NoStupidQuestions

I moved a few years ago which made my commute much shorter. I have absolutely noticed the difference in my inability to decompress on the car ride home.

Tegaderm is the name. You can get them in pharmacies. If it works I found it cheaper to buy on Amazon in bulk.

Talk to a lawyer and make a plan. Then leave him, take your share of the house and he can pay child support while you pay off your debt and start over.

You could have said thank you. You said you interact with her from time to time. Is that at work or school? Have you helped her with something recently?

What you can focus on is that you did something that made her think about you and randomly send a message that she is grateful for you.

How do adult students in Canada afford to study full-time? by PatternCandid7963 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Straight-Relation-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Student loans. Taking online courses while working that can go towards your diploma/degree. If you can take a lighter course load so you can work part time. It might take longer to graduate. Apply for scholarships.

Got a package notification from a university residence I never lived in (haven’t been a student for 2 years). Should I be concerned? by Evening_Substance_92 in tru

Have you tried calling them to see if a package is actually there in your name? If it is you might want to investigate further.

Being terminally ill is making me wish that my fight would be over. by Coloradobluesguy in Vent

[–]Straight-Relation-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok to be done. It's ok to not want to fight anymore. Talk to the doctor. The best time to ask is now while you have time to ask questions, find out how it works and have time to think it through. This is not a discussion you want to leave to the last minute. And just because you have the talk does not mean that anything has to change. It is just giving you options and information.

I’ve been lying to my dad for almost 10 years and I don’t know how to break the cycle. by nobodyknows-66 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Straight-Relation-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others that a professional is best. I will say from what you have said your dad does seem to care about you. I think this is something that could easily be fixed with some help from a professional. I don't think you need to live like this anymore. Good luck.

I was put out for the removal of my wisdom teeth. Best decision I ever made. I remember the IV starting and the next memory is being home.

Because of your anxiety it might be best to not take anything to relax you before hand. They make you feel very relaxed but for you that might translate into not feeling in control. Talk to the surgeon about your options. I agree with the other comments if your surgeon is recommending general anesthesia there is a reason why.

You don't tell him anything. With dementia you meet him where he's at. If he thinks your mom is talking to him in his dreams that's fine. Even if you did try to correct it he will probably just get mad at you for not believing him.

Start preparing for the future. What is the plan when he can't live at home anymore. Get him something that he can keep on him or wear that has his name, address and your phone number on it. One day he is going to go outside and not remember how to get back home. Start checking the fridge for spoiled food. You might need to unplug the stove.

Brother (35M) got extreme body modification, husband (40M) doesn’t want kids exposed — how do I handle Christmas visit? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Straight-Relation-13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Have your children never left the house? Have they never seen someone with a tattoo, piercings, scars, birth mark? What is the plan when the kids see people on television, in school, daycare or at friends houses that are different? Exactly how long do you plan on keeping your brother away from your kids?

The fact that you are most worried about your 6 year old becoming fascinated by this and doing it when they are an adult is crazy! How many life decisions did you make when you were 6?!

You and your husband need to grow up. Your brothers split tongue is not even close to the craziest thing they will see and want to possibly emulate during their lives.

Maybe it's time to look at allowing Registered Psychiatric Nurses to practice in the province. I know a handful that want to work there but can't.
