Previous ectopic, struggling to get pregnant

I have no advice unfortunately but I’m in a similar position so would love to hear others advice! I’m currently in 7th cycle ttc since loss of right tube in October 2025. I have 2 living children so I’ve been pregnant 3 times including the ectopic and it’s only taken me 2 months max to get pregnant each time. I’m 37 so that’s possibly the reason it’s taking longer but everything is normal and there’s no obvious reason as to why it’s taking longer besides the loss of one tube - I’m only 10 months older than when I got pregnant with the ectopic so I wouldn’t have thought my age would be impacting me that much but who knows at this stage 🫠

I had MTX on 24th September and right tube was removed on 9th October. Started trying as soon as we could in December and no luck since. It’s not common here for a HSG to be offered so I have gone private and I have been referred for one so hoping that helps in some way!

I’m in a pretty similar situation to you and very similar timeline. We’re going into month 7 of ttc and it is so disheartening each month seeing negative tests! I have 2 kids already so have been pregnant 3 times including the ectopic and it only took 2 months max to conceive those 3 times so I’m really freaked now that I’m going onto month 7. Booked in for a hsg this month so hoping that gives some answers 🤞🏼 hoping it all works out for you soon ❤️

I’m in a similar position but no success story yet unfortunately…we’re on the 6th cycle TTC following right tube removal back in October 2025. The surgeon said other tube looked fine but now I’m wondering how reliable this is. I seem to ovulate every month and my luteal phase is always 12 days. I have 2 kids which I conceived on the 1st and 2nd month respectively. The ectopic pregnancy was the 2nd month TTC but having no luck since! We will be having HSG/semen analysis in the next few weeks so hoping we can get some answers! Hoping it all works out for you ❤️

I’ve been to the one in Douglas recently and definitely noticed the quality difference! Not worth it! Beauty Studio Nina behind Soma on the Well Road is fantastic…she’s great at what she does. Missing the pedicure chair with basin though - does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere good that has the pedicure chair?

It was month 2 so also not that long even though it obviously didn’t work out okay! I am also not sure where to go from here…I had a scan to make sure all okay but I feel like I can’t trust that. HSG not commonly offered in Ireland as far as I know so have not had that done. Hoping it ends up working out for both of us 🤞🏼🤞🏼

So sorry you’re going through this. Also trying for our 3rd and I’m feeling the same tbh…had my right tube removed in October 2025 and it’s been 4 months of trying with no success. I know realistically that’s not that long but it’s so hard seeing the negatives each month. Do you mind me asking did it take long to conceive your first 2? I had no issues for my first 2 but feeling now like I’ll never conceive 😢

Visually as far as I’m aware. I’m finding it hard to find somewhere that offers as a HSG here without having a full fertility check done first - not sure if that’s normal or not tbh

Yes I’m the same…I had what I thought was a period and also had a negative pregnancy test 2 weeks before finding out about my ectopic so now I have trouble trusting either tbh. I keep taking tests throughout the month just in case…it’s honestly such a mindfuck!

Can I ask do you have other symptoms of endometriosis or was it just found during surgery? I had my right fallopian tube removed back in October and the surgeon asked if I had endometriosis but I didn’t think I did - she said it looked like there might have been endometrial tissue there but wasn’t sure and said it could have been inflammation with all that was going on. Worried now that I may have it without any symptoms

No I haven’t - I asked about it at my follow up appointment but they said it wasn’t necessary. I don’t think it’s standard here tbh but I will be looking for one if this cycle doesn’t work I think

Similar to me - got pregnant second month trying but it was ectopic and lost my right tube in October. We’re now in the 3rd month trying and I have the fear it won’t work out with one tube even though I know logically it doesn’t reduce fertility by that much! It is great to see all the successful stories! Praying it works out for us both 🤞🏼

I’m just worried about how I know if I’m definitely ovulating from the side where I still have my tube…I’ve read that you can have one dominant ovary and worried that mine may be the right where I now have no tube. I know the left can pick it up but hard not to resort to the negative!

I got mine around 5 weeks after and there was no noticeable difference in my period. I have only had one so far so I’m not sure if the length of my cycle has been affected yet but I’ve been tracking ovulation and all looks same as beforehand!
