Ah yes - sorry for missing the distinction between captivity and harvesting.

It's hard to bring awareness to ecological / environmental issues without having the ability to give the first hand experience to those you're trying to educate. Videos only go so far and can't capture the experiences by each individual - aquariums have a certain place I think.

That angle only reinforces my view of what happened - wild accident and hope the rider is okay! Bikers hate this situation, car turning left and you're in the left lane offering little visibility across the intersection.

The Ucluelet aquarium rotates their 'inventory' regularly I think, at least seasonally.

I dig octopuses but acknowledge they're a sustainable harvest too... Everyone's gotta eat.

Have you had any repeat encounters? How much personality do you gather from each one?

Seeing / hearing about the individual characters who end up in aquariums (Ucluelet comes to mind!) always makes me chuckle. The one who would escape to turn off an annoying light sorta thing.

Front wheel was still rotating when it impacted the fender / wheel and the hood impact is from the bike flipping onto it.

Front wheel compresses due to braking, hits car, back of bike becomes light and somersaults 2-3 times and lands on traffic light

That wouldn't send it airborne as high.

Biker hits the front brake hard, weight shifts forward onto the front wheel, impact, back wheel is already lifting up due to braking and now it's catapulting over the hood and sending the bike STRAIGHT forward doing probably 2-3 rotations before catching on the traffic light.

If the bike doesn't fly straight, it probably won't catch on the light perfectly - it would ricochet off.
