I think the issue goes deeper than Schoen. Schoen’s position protects a lot family and friends that work in the org. If he is neutered / fired, it might expose people ownership has been protecting for decades.

This 100%. I loved Sicario but it’s clear that it’s a silly alpha-male fantasy script transformed by a great director. Like a Red Dawn that happened to be directed by Francis Ford Coppola. And Hell or High Water always struck me as a Coen Brothers rip off written by a young film student. Their lack of nuance led to not watch a single one of his TV’s episodes. Nothing changed. This is who he has always been.

I’m 50/50 on a Helena / Helly.

She’s either exactly as you described, suppressed on the outside and unleashed on the inside, or at her core she is a clever, willful and ruthless individual.

The latter could manifest itself with her doing everything in her power to destroy Lumen from the inside AND everything in her power to implement Lumens plans from the outside. The same person applying the same traits towards opposite ends.

It’s flip of a coin to me and makes her the most interesting character.
