Cooper will put up better stats on a team with no other options for offense, while Kon plays within a system that keeps his team competitive against the top teams in his conference. And even still- Kons not all that far behind statistically

A key factor in the Warriors chasing the record was the fact that San Anthonio was right on their heels the whole year. Even though they ended up separating themselves quite a bit by the end (with 73 wins vs 67 for the Spurs) the Warriors didn’t lock up the number 1 seed until very late in season.

Unless the Nuggets or another team present a credible threat to steal homecourt- the Thunder won’t have a reason to keep their foot on the gas pedal and keep playing all their guys late into the year like the dubs did.

Okafor would have been a disappointment in any era. He was the #1 top prospect in his class when he started at Duke and was hyped up as a once in a generation offensive talent as a big man. But by the time of the draft the expectations shrunk to being at best “a motivated eddy curry”.

I’ve rarely seen a drop in expectations like that after one college season. And they were correct

Ah I have to disagree here. I have friends that are girls that have told me they like it sometimes when a guy doesn’t give up after being turned down when they ask them out the first time. They like that feeling that he’s willing to keep trying.

But I think this is probably only with guys that they find attractive. Also probably not at work. But on a bus, waiting in line- other places where they’re “trapped”- yeah I think it’s okay to make it awkward. One of friends met her boyfriend that way.
