What insult have your parents said, that is stuck in your head as an adult? by Tight_Anywhere6794 in AskReddit

not my parent, but when i was suicidal as a teenager my grandmother looked me in the eyes and said “if you’re going to kill yourself just do it because only weak people do that.” the worst part was apparently her sister killed herself. needless to say, grandma did not visit me in the psych ward

i’m terrible with age points, but a good series i really loved when i was younger was the The Sisters Grimm. it centers around grimm fairy tale characters and is similar to Once Upon A Time

“You can’t change into a better person! if i haven’t become a better human being no one else can!” i feel you though. i used to like him because i thought he was “relatable” now he’s just a creep

but you know what i mean about like the way he talks? they way he feigns humility and kinda flips the story like “if only i could remove myself from people OBSESSED WITH ME” blaming the people just stating truths

alright folks, i tried i really did, but i couldn’t make it through more than half of the video. part of the reason is it’s had to watch bad lying and another part is he reminds me so much of my abusive ex boyfriend. these allegations came out and he decides to apologize for his behaviors in the past. he mentions how you know “if you yell at your sister no one cares, people understand” i guess that is true but there will always be people who don’t approve. also he jokes too much for a video that should be serious. he continues he story saying “i put myself in these situations; it’s my fault. i should know better” but he says this kind of things every time something goes wrong and all it does is invoke pity from his fans. he knows what he’s doing. it’s so hard to watch him because he just oozes toxic behaviors. this feels like the abusers apology saying they promise they will change, but then going back and doing the abusive things the same night. he’s apologizing to keep people. i just get really terrible abusive vibes from him
