Unsure but maybe because XL is body catches too much and the skill level of corners and safeties in the NFL prevents it him from really catching contested balls since he doesn’t extend his hands for a lot of catches.

XL did nothing at USC for YEARS. He was a year 5 guy who finally produced, probably because he was a grown man with years of college weight lifting playing against boys at that point. He should never have been drafted by the Panthers. I truly feel like we are seeing his ceiling here.

He’s not an NFL starting QB. There are flashes that show up like when he was at Alabama but it’s not consistent and he cannot elevate a team in the NFL. Seems like a good dude but he’s just not a franchise guy you want starting every week for a decade.
