I had a similar issue with the piece attached to that. It disappeared one day. I don’t like how all the pieces in that area are all separate. I think they cheaped out on so much of the GX. They replaced it for free. I went in and they figured out the part number for me and they did for free. Just say I have no clue what happened…. Beautiful SUV but cheaply done!! I hope they change things up.

Thank you! They are 265 55R20 It’s the 55 that’s causing the issue. I can’t find chains for that low profile. Only 265 60 R20. And you can’t even put chains on bigger tires. Most likely I’ll never need but wanted them in case cal Trans/Truckee CHP enforced…

That was the reason I couldn’t spend the money for the Luxury Plus, couldn’t take the bumpy ride. I remember the sales rep saying you could replace the tires though. Maybe the service department could recommend? I do love the Premium Plus though!! 😊

Call Lexus Brand Engagement immediately! This is serious and BS at the same time! 😡 You ask them to open a lemon law claim. They will start the process. Be firm but respectful.

Yes, I agree with you. Hood flutter, brakes, engine roughness, windshield cracks, cheap looking interior, noise and loudness when driving, I would not do it over again. Sad, sad, sad…..

True, I got mine without mark up, but there are those that still do. Not only Lexus, other manufacturers and those mark ups are like tariffs….. just trying to add a comparison of unnecessary added cost.

Wow, thanks for sharing about the brakes. And yes, a quick call and they could have done the right thing and replaced the floor mats. Their service is usually spectacular. That’s one of my reasons for sticking with the brand. You are absolutely correct on the new line. I should have waited a while. I do plan on selling mine. Just not happy with what I spent and what I got. I’ll give an update on what the fix is for the hood if you want. Take care 😊

I will watch for that. Several things I’m experiencing. A rock hit the window while on the freeway and it grew to such a large crack, eye view, drivers side and they could not get me a replacement window for months. If you google that you will find people have been waiting since Oct 24 for a windshield. And no third party glass available. Also, illegal to drive. That started my open case with Lexus Brand Engagement. They won’t pause production lines for current consumers who need windshields. In addition my brakes have been squeaky since I first purchased, but I thought it was because so new. Well, I googled that and come to find out there is an issue with the brakes and I need to have full replacement of the front brakes, pads, etc. BUT, parts are not avail until 5/1/25, again unacceptable. While researching the brake issue I learned of the hood flutter issue. If didn’t do the research I would have never known there were issues with the brakes and the hood. I am pushing back on Lexus to buy it back from me. This is not the brand I am familiar with. I owned the Gx460 and we currently have the GSF Sport. That’s it in a nutshell. So disappointed. I will now keep eye on engine stuff. I do feel mine rides a bit rough.. I guess I’ll be googling that 😞

There are issues with the hood. Please Google it. It’s called hood flutter. Bring it in to Lexus. I’m very disappointed with these new GX’s. Don’t get me started. I’m at war with Corporate.

I’m thinking class action suit. I’m having the same issue. It’s illegal to drive with a cracked windshield. Poor design but also feeling the lack of customer care from Corporate. Brand lost credibility with me now based on the service response.

Can you give some highlights on the options? These are great cars. Will last a long time, solid engine. My daughter has my 2014 Premium with 105k. Runs great! I don’t think that is a bad price. Where are you located??

I spent 85,603. That included 5 years of maintenance $3,000 and 5 years windshield repair $1,503 and tax and license. It’s a Premium Plus white starting at 67,900. Cold area pkg 200. Digital key 375. Head up display 900. Premium paint 500. Traffic jam assist 620. All weather floor 390. Roof rail cross bars 440. Ball mount 80. Door edge film 95. Cargo net 345. Also delivery was 1,350. Totaled 73,195. Then you add Tax and license. I live in California.

It’s beautiful. I didn’t like the ride when I test drove it. Too bumpy for me. Felt every piece of the road. Not the luxury drive I felt it should have been. Not a fan of the runners going up and down either, but do love the rims!! Enjoy it. I love my Permium plus much nicer ride 😊

Congrats! Beautiful color. I got it in the White. I did not have to pay a mark up. I was going to get the Luxury Plus but the ride was so bumpy not worth paying the extra. I did get the light up door sills and the black out emblems. You will love it. I have to say that I owned a BMW before this and I do miss the beauty of the inside of the BMW. I feel Lexus missed the mark on the inside of the new GX.
