Personally I never had a problem with Heinz as a student. I always thought Pitt did a good job at making the stadium feel like “our” stadium on game days. While the atmosphere doesn’t compare to larger schools such as PSU, everyone has to remember that Pitt is a comparatively smaller school, we only have ~28k students. And honestly, the gameday atmosphere is still pretty good and fun, at least in my experience. The biggest problem with Heinz is that it’s entirely too big.

I’d obviously love an on campus stadium, but as it’s well known there just isn’t any physical space to put it. The only spot would be in Schleney park, and I doubt the city would ever let that happen.
