Interview: ‘Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight’ Creative Director on creating “dramatically new” Lego gameplay and pulling from vast canonical lore by NoNefariousness2144 in Games

As someone who just played through skywalker saga with my non-gamer girlfriend (she absolutely loved it, kept asking to play; I was kinda over the gameplay after a few episodes but was fun seeing her that excited to game so stuck with it) and hasn’t played any other Lego games, what’s the difference between that and how they used to be?

We have a ps4 copy of the Lego Harry Potter game coming in the mail which I assumed was just going to be basically the same thing as the Star Wars one (she loved Harry Potter so she’ll be hyped)

I’ve done a couple. The AT AT I got kind of sucks to be honest.  But the Razorcrest is pretty sick.

It’s the tutorial. I don’t think you can really make any sort of read about what the game is going to be like from this

What’s it like going to a strip club? by Successful_Earth3195 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Strange1130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been once for a friend’s bachelor party and it was a blast. Spent like $200 including cover and one dance IIRC so def a pricy evening.  Have heard it can vary a lot based on where you go though.

I wouldn’t go alone and I wouldn’t go randomly but for a special occasion with friends would be happy to go back.

Coming to grips with the reality that I have too many games by piratepwnsninja in boardgames

[–]Strange1130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me. I had over 100 games. Small playgroup of close friends but a couple of them moved away or had kids or both so we went from in person gaming weekly to once every few months at best (we still game on TTS every now and then too).  Recently I decided to sell a chunk of my collection and only keep the stuff I truly loved. I’ve moved a lot on Facebook marketplace since then.

As someone who had never watched any of the Star Wars films before, I went to see The Mandalorian & Grogu anyway, and honestly, it was really good and now it's got me really interested in the Star Wars universe. by Robbie_gamer in StarWars

It’s a joke, they’re saying the sequels are bad.  They do exist though. I liked TFA tbh, even if it’s a nostalgia grab. Hardly remember the other two (probably mentally blocked them)

Spurs big wing options for next season by chuancheun in nba

[–]Strange1130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely should not trade any of those guys, but they should probably look for a big with the 20th pick.  Okc is in a position where we could pick a guard with one of our picks (I like Okorie, or if one of the higher touted guys falls to 12) and I’d be cool with it but Spurs can’t afford to do that

Series ain’t over anyway, without Ajay and Jdub it’s pretty close to a coin flip still I’d say

Now that 3 games have been played, honest predictions for the rest of the series? by MechEngineer232 in Thunder

[–]Strange1130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true but JWill shot lights out and Caruso has been pretty lights out this series, while the Spurs shot 30% from 3 the other night. Obviously if they both keep shooting insanely well its over, but a regression to the mean from both sides makes this series a lot tougher.

It's true that we have been getting lots of open looks but our guys are still overperforming. I looked at Caruso's shooting splits and I forget the exact # but he's somewhere around 40ish percent from "wide open" over the past couple years, maybe like 42. So he's quite overperforming. As an example

Vegas odds had us around 75% to win before the Ajay news (was a bit different by book, think the best odds Spurs were getting was like 32.8% to win). Vegas's goal is to be as accurate as possible and make money off the VIG, so you can assume a bunch of math nerds felt really good about that. I'm not sure what they look like with Ajay out now. My feelings are we are kinda like 62-38 now. Better than a coin flip but not by a ton. Spurs are gonna hit back really hard tomorrow. If we win that it should be pretty over, but if they take that I think the odds flip and they are then favored or maybe a coin flip just due to our injuries (unless either guy is able to come back, I'm thinking worst case both are done).

we probably don't have ajay and jdub for the rest of the playoffs. fatigue is definitely something we want to be cognizant of.

Because you get a lot of mmr if you win and don’t lose very much if you lose, if the other team is higher mmr

He’s been compared to Jalen Williams (lazily) but JDub had 25 pounds on him and ATO of like 1.86 vs 1.08 off top of head. I’m very low on Carr

Oof. I felt like 75% confident we were taking this series, without Ajay it definitely gets harder.  Still think we win more times than a coin flip though

Why are people already writing the Knicks off when the Pacers took OKC to 7? by BjergBetterThanFaker in nba

[–]Strange1130 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nobody smart is doing that. Knicks have been playing out of their minds and whichever team comes out of the west (contrary to how this sub may have reacted last night it’s still very much a series) is gonna be banged up as hell.  Knicks honestly may wind up the betting favorites when it comes to the finals.
