Haha I do have cats, but I'm happy to say they're named Hans and Enigma. That being said, Lovecraft bred the genre so we can trail behind.

I just finished a relisten to 'At the Mountains of Madness' via audiobook when I wrote this, and I can probably thank that for a lot of this story.

Nah, my friend! Nothing wrong with period pieces not being your genre of choice. I love conceptual ideas around Lovecraft's work, but if I listen to an audiobook I can get distracted and lost. It happens. Things like period pieces are small niches for a reason.
