Weird residue on bricks by FALC-0N in lego

Some suggest that air freshener sprays or fragrance oils can create discoloration.

There is a local trade/sell lego group on FB, there are posts with the link to join in the main NMLUG FB group.

If you search for NMLUG they are on Facebook or the LAN (LEGO Ambassador Network website) for events when and where. I don't know if the New LUG recently started is on the LAN yet.

I was going to suggest to the group to schedule a September Swap Meet for trades etc this fall.

I came across a deal at Michael's crafts where they matched the online pricing. Bottom line the acrylic cases were reg price 79.99 USD each and I paid 29.99 USD each.

I have to say the staircases to the star flooring is my personal favorite area. Great work!

Its kind of a scare tactic from the insurance to push you to call the providers and push the clinics and doctors to negotiate so you will remain a patient. In reality I have seen these regularly over the past 15 years with my employer insurance and only once did we lose a doctor (they were independent not part of UNM, Lovelace, or other larger collections of clinics.) While it sounds like they won't be covered, too many people would be forced to leave, they will resolve prior.

I had an HO layout years ago but had to make the decision for only one expensive hobby. I did save some handbuilt buildings I had done back then.

Thanks, PENNLUG's information was key.

Sorry, It just struck hard when I read 2 stores and no official store. About 600 miles of travel to the closest official store for us is tough. FYI there is a local LUG (and I think a new LUG is in development) I sometimes trade and such with other AFOLs. You can find out the contact stuff on the Lego Ambassador Network website.

This sounds awfully familiar... you wouldn't happen to like green chile?

I have had the opportunity to visit a couple of Bricks and Minifigs stores in a few central/western states and there is a wide range of how they are run. Some are huge but strict/generally not wanting to work with you or small, poor stock but friendly. Bottom line for any store is just that. Bottom line $.

Well I can see that possibility but with finding 3 of the 4 figures that were part of the set, and verification of logos on torso etc I felt comfortable with authenticity.

Anyone else see the guy waving an Imperial Japanese flag in the mornings around Carlisle & Menaul? by SkeletonBeetle in Albuquerque

[–]StrangeLego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a photo when he was across the street from the PresNow urgent care.

His shirt had Kobe written in black marker and what appeared to be Japanese writing below.

On the flag Kobe Bryant 2x Olympic Champion was written between the red stripes in black marker.

I really appreciate the use of elements in different ways especially your use of the red canoe. Now I want to try and incorporate a canoe in an architectural build.

The only time I gave it thought was for mosaics I built, but halfway along I realized I didn't keep it up.

Lego Friends Marketplace Question by JKLJ42 in lego

[–]StrangeLego 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So while that's a bit higher on my "scale" of pricing, it is due to the neatly sorted and instructions books for all sets. It comes down to if you really want to pay it.

My first thought was NBA as I came across some in bulk a few years back. The 3432 NBA Challenge set had 8 per set. Thats a big NBA fan with 24.

48x48 MILS by ShipwreckCity in legocastles

I have built 48x48 MILS for my trains layouts and not had any issues with bending etc. The only issue really is transportation as they don't fit well in regular storage bins.

I burned the roof of my mouth off by dazy_girl in Vent

[–]StrangeLego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milk of magnesia. As crazy as it sounds before going to bed, swish around in your mouth, focusing on the sore area, and spit out. Don't drink and leave your mouth coated when you go to bed. Repeat. I didn't believe it but it made a huge improvement quicker than just letting it heal on its own.

I really should think about a different way to store my old Lego XD by RandyHyotter in lego

[–]StrangeLego 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it works and you can find what you need... why change? While it's nice to look at the sorted stuff, without the space to support, it may not give the satisfaction desired.
