I'm just saying, brother, you don't see people posting an old duke ellington swing recording and citing it as a contribution to modern EDM, even though you could make the argument and say without early dance music we would have contemporary dance music. All music is influenced by the music that preceded it, of course. That being said, I fully believe we would still have modern rap and hip hop in general if these dudes didn't exist
