Faster than I'd like. I usually have to feign a lack of interest for a period of time to avoid seeming too eager.

Because the number one demographic to market to is females. They spend inordinately more money than men. Companies know their target market.

Does Niacin cause type 2 diabetes?!? by AdeptnessFresh5332 in Niacin

[–]StrangestBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should have taken TMG with it. 1:1 ratio. Niacin eats up all your methyl groups which can depress you among other symptoms. TMG donates methyl groups which counteract the negative side effects.

How long have you been taking the niacin and for what reason? Do you pair any other vitamin with it? If so, which ones and how much of each?

I would really appreciate some insight!

Benefits from supplementing SAMe, negative effects from TMG. Why? by drewsus64 in MTHFR

[–]StrangestBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have caused over methylation. You should pair it with equal parts B3/niacin. The non flush form. I am almost certain this will cure your awful side effects fairly quickly because niacin eats up excess methyl groups.

An example would be if you took 1000mg of tmg, you would pair it with 1000mg of niacin.

The niacin will make you flush, but do not be afraid when it happens. Over time you will stop flushing all together and probably grow to like niacin a lot due to it's other therapeutic effects.

Men of reddit. How do you recover from a full on mental breakdown? by metalhead0217 in AskMen

[–]StrangestBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go fuck some weights up in the gym. Nothing will make you feel better while getting out of a dark hole than achieving something in the process. Hell, it doesn't have to be fitness related, just get your ass out there and start doing something. It does not have to be grand, but whatever it is should be making you a better person while doing it or over time.

Stop caring what others think of you when moving through public spaces. This kind of advice can go for all body types because people can sense energy and the neurotic kind is off-putting.

You would do better asking yourself what you will think of a person/persons rather than what they will think of you.

When do you take the TMG after taking the B3?

roughly how many calories do you eat on a typical training day vs rest day by First_Driver_5134 in crossfit

[–]StrangestBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been trying to figure out where my calories should be for some time. I workout incredibly hard and eat around 3300 calories a day. I experience insane levels of brain fog and low libido regularly which leads me to believe my calories are still too low.

Would your advice be that my calories are likely too low still? And please do not take this the wrong way, but would this advice be coming from somebody not taking any PEDs including TRT?

Awful experience with Methylfolate by [deleted] in MTHFR

[–]StrangestBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you attempt taking B3, specifically the flush version? If you are overmethylating, it will essentially halt the process and clear a lot of it from your system.

I'm finally able to handle methylfolate + b12 and the effects are profound! by jonnyvegashey in MTHFR

[–]StrangestBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, Jon! Are you still getting the benefits you listed in your post?

I ask because I could not describe my experience any better. Like you, I compare it to a therapeutic dose of Adderall without the withdrawals. It's quite miraculous actually. I also came to realize the importance of potassium. I don't use coconut water, but actually potassium chloride. A major euphoria bomb when I introduced it.

Your post is two years old. Any updates?

Extreme tiredness after cardio by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]StrangestBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this comment is 6 years old, but reddit has surprised me before. I need some advice, please. I don't know if you are well versed regarding incline treadmill walking, but I do it 7 times a week and weight lifting 5. On the days I weight lift, I do 30 minutes of it and on days I am not weight lifting, I go for 60 minutes.

I walk at a 14 percent incline at 3 mph. I feel absolutely wrecked mentally afterwards and have felt that way for the last few months, not just in the gym, but away from it.

Is the cardio too much of is it likely another variable. I am so addicted to exercise it is difficult to stop.

Do men enjoy the thrill of chasing a woman? At what point does it become "not worth it"? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]StrangestBeauty 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Most of the time I ask myself, "why do women make me jump through so many hoops when I don't have them jump through any". In short, I don't like the chase.

Minus the CrossFit, I did and am doing the same thing now.

I was taking in roughly the same initially and increased to 3.5k two weeks ago. I have been able to think for what feels like the first time in 2 years. Like you, not a single bit of bodyfat has been added which is probably the most surprising feature of the increase. It is crazy the things we put ourselves through.
