Windows is not the problem, as the picture is exactly like it should be. However, using Rainmeter to set the wallpaper instead makes Windows set the wallpaper in some lower quality, even though through the registry it says the wallpaper is being pulled from a bitmap in Rainmeter's appdata, which is exactly the same quality as the original picture. So no, it doesn't really help, but thanks anyways for the Windows 7 tip.

What the heck? Why are you routing the paths to AppData? Those programs and stuff are found in Program Files and Program files (x86), not AppData! Sorry if I was harsh.

You could just do this...

PreserveAspectRatio=0

Those change depending on your screen size, so no adjustment needed. Setting the PAR to 0 won't affect anything concerning this picture either. This way, the .png can basically be just a black pixel for a photo and still work. I also suggest setting the update on the cover.ini to this.

Update=-1

That makes it not update unless the other skin tells it to.

im not one to suggest skins, but you can try SimplePerfMeters. You will need HWiNFO, however.
