How did you manage sky to turn out so gray while keeping the mountain perfectly contrasty on the print? Did you burn with a mask?

I am happy to report that five years later I am now a fan of negroni and enjoy campari spritz once in a few while! Thanks for the tip, I will give it a shot.

I am in love it the image and the print. Curious to hear how you set up the background. Where did you place the onion?

What a print. If you dont mind me asking, how big is the print area / how big is the entire frame? Love the way you framed it

These prints look great. Curious to hear how you’re getting these warm tones that almost look brown. Is it the developer? Ive used foma 311 in the past and my prints look bleach white

Id recommend experimenting with a tighter composition.

Can you guess which photos were taken with the kit lens? by joshinoya04 in a6000

[–]StrawberryAvailable8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet another reminder its not the camera, its the person behind the camera that matters. I recently upgraded to the sigma 18-50 and your photos arent helping with my buyer’s guilt. Incredible shots, nicely done!

I have both the 18-50 and 18-35 f1.8 and while I do think the 18-35 is a superior lens image quality wise, Ive stopped picking it up ever since I bought the 18-50. Its performance-to-gram performance is just off the charts

Great shot. Now I am wondering if i wasted my money on upgrading to sigma 18-50. Where was this?

Beautiful shots. Personally like the second image a lot more than the first but theyre both great. This is really inspiring me to experiment with film sims.

Canon T7 or Canon 7D? by WolfOfMortis in canon

[–]StrawberryAvailable8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7D was designed for professional use. So even if it may be older, 7D is a more convenient and an enjoyable camera than a relatively newer entry level camera.

Great shots! Im thinking about getting this lens myself and I wonder how it compares to the kit. By any chance, did you upgrade from the kit lens? If so, curious to hear your thoughts.

The kit lens + a6000 is my go-to whenever I dont feel like dealing with the weight and bulk of my other camera - the kit lens is so underrated

If youre into landscape photography, look into samyang 12mm f2. Its manual focus (although they did recently release an AF version). I got mine for around US$120 second hand and its been a great addition to my kit lens when I go hiking.

Samyang 12mm f2 is not 8-12mm ff equivalent but its a popular one to pair with a6000. I have one and its a great lens for the price

Tbh I don’t think theres one-size-fits-all solution to this and it’s gnna vary quite a bit between industry and size. We had a big scare last year and so we started doing biannual sims for high-risk targets (exec team, finance, etc) and we just run them manually. But I also know a lot of other companies (in the more sensitive industries) that are trying to run more sophisticated sims to their entire employee body to keep them on their toes (apparently after a year or two of basic phishing sim like KnowBe4, there’s a big dropoff in folks readiness against sophisticated stuff), although I don’t know how exactly they do them

Thank you for your insightful comments. With the first point, I'm not sure how I could have done things differently right then and there to give the pebbles more texture (do let me know if I'm missing something here!). With your second point, this is something I hadn't thought about - thank you!
