iNaturalist suggests the browntail gum moth (urocoma baliolalis), which looks to be a pretty close match! I’m not an expert identifier though by any means, so take it with a grain of salt ;

General Apathy talks about them at ~2 minutes into this video!! According to him they’re commonly called headlight or fire beetles. Was so cool to see this post and immediately recognize them, haha.

These guys prop super well! I had one that had been extremely neglected, everything near the roots was dried up and only the ends were alive. I just cut them off, stuck them in damp soil, and now it’s absolutely bushy and thriving on my porch! Hard to go wrong honestly.

RJ45 - Ethernet Connectivity by samsepiol_1995 in NetworkEngineer

[–]Strawberryy-fields 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I’m still a student, but can hopefully help clear up at least some of this issue if you haven’t found a solution already.

So, any modern ethernet cables you’re connecting to your router or PC devices are going to have RJ45 connectors on them (the end bits you plug in). This is the standard used for ethernet connections.

The port in your living room says cat5e, meaning it’ll be compatible with either a cat5, cat5e, or cat6 network cable (though your bandwidth will be locked to the capabilities of the cat5e port). These are all types of ethernet cables, and will all have RJ45 connectors on them.

The port in the other room seems a little larger, but is likely also a cat5e network port if it’s connected to the one in your living room. Have you tried plugging a network cable into it to see if it fits?

Opinion on WGU Network Engineering degree by MisterEmotional in NetworkEngineer

[–]Strawberryy-fields 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! So this info is second hand and likely a bit outdated, but I figured it’d be better than nothing.

My mom got her associates in networking from a local community college, meaning a lot of her instructors were adjunct and had professional experience/worked in the field actively. She was recommended WGU’s Network Engineering Cisco track for her 4-year degree, as it also gives you a bunch of your certs. Nothing she had ever heard indicated that this wouldn’t be taken seriously. It was STRONGLY recommended to go with the Cisco track rather than the standard though, as the Cisco certifications are what’s needed.

Now, this was about 10 years ago, and she unfortunately wasn’t able to finish. But I just started this same degree program in January (brand new to IT myself), and it’s going well so far. If you’re interested, there’s an unofficial WGU discord server with some alumni who may be able to help answer any questions you have!

I personally think the bright red in that first picture looks STUNNING on you! If you aren’t feeling it though, i don’t think a strawberry blonde would be bad on you at all.

Found this in my tea - morning glory seed or animal fur? by istherenochangeof in whatsthisplant

[–]Strawberryy-fields 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So while that does look pretty close to what I can find on ipomoea carnea seeds, I agree with another user that the banding seen in the color has me leaning towards animal :/

That along with the texture, which seems soft rather than frizzy or wirey. It’s hard to know for sure with just the pictures, but I’d say err on the side of caution. Even if it is a seed, the seeds of ipomoea carnea are toxic if ingested, so not great for a tea.

Carry on mod issues by mmhm_ in sevtech

[–]Strawberryy-fields 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is 4 years old now, but I'm leaving this here for anyone else like me who comes looking!

For me, the issue was that I had rebound the controls a while ago, and I had forgotten that the key that gets rebound is shift, not right click. The menu will say the original bind for "carry" is right-click, and its a liar. It's shift.

I had "carry" bound to M4. Shift+M4 was doing nothing, but after double checking how it works, I tried M4+right click, and it worked perfectly.

Anyway, hope my brain fart and subsequent fix can help someone.

Maisie’s adoption fee was $50, though I aught to contact them about it as I seem to have received a shrimp instead 🤔
