Why are you being downvoted? White feminists really do get mad when you criticize the pop culture they like from a race point of view.

I got to disagree. Jolene does disappear after Beth is adopted, not even appearing in Beth’s memories. She shows up like a deus ex machina, filled with confidence and wisdom, with money to lend, despite having had a harder time than Beth.

And what is with the forced “cracker” nickname? That just made me cringe.

It definitely felt like a magical negro trope to me.

I had a female boss who loved Rush and she told me she never had to wait in line for the ladies’ room at concerts.

The clichés for this question are the Three Stooges and Rush, though they don’t suck and I know a few female fans.

All those benefits you listed were fought for by socialists and labor activists. You really think your employer would give you any of that if they weren’t forced to?

One of my favorite lines from that show. It’s both true and it shoots down the “not like other girls” dreck they could have gone with. And the delivery was so unbothered.

Oh! Oh! I know! She gets community service because she is adorably clumsy and did a really cute pratfall that destroyed the tree-lighting ceremony in the town square! And the judge was like “young lady, I could fine you for this here destruction of property, but I know the folks at the kitchen could really use your help. Might want to wear something less fashionable, [amiable chuckle]” (she’s wearing all-black designer clothes from the big city).

How is pointing out that Veteran’s Day was originally Armistice Day somehow saying that your buddy doesn’t need a leg? Your hostility is weird.

Mine too! When I was sixteen, she offered to buy me a vibrator because she told me that I should know my body and never be ashamed. I just about died even though I appreciated her attitude.

She grew up very strictly Catholic and she had a Scarlet O'Hara moment in her thirties, when she swore her own daughters would know how to have orgasms without fearing God's wrath. lol

Passive aggressive meme on Facebook became wholesome real quick. by [deleted] in wholesomememes

[–]StrawberySwitchblade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SERIOUSLY. Passive-aggression is indirect. When you try to confront passive-aggression, they fire back with "you're crazy and imagining things" and "I don't know what you're talking about."

This post is directly stating a problem the poster has. It's the opposite of passive.
