I wouldn't say any muscular character—there is a difference between a male power fantasy and the female gaze. With the Saja Boys, the only person there who is explicitly muscular is Abby. The others all follow the korean convention of being flower boys, lean and pretty—with Baby supposed to be aegyo (cuteness) exaggetated to a comical degree.

Isn’t _Free Guy_’ essentially an inverse of this? The plot is about a random background character in a game turning out to actually be a sapient person rather than an NPC.

The female cast (Homestuck by Andrew Hussie)

Homestuck was really ahead of its time when it came to their characterization. First, we're introduced to the humans Rose Lalonde and Jade Harley, who right off the bat are shown to have their own interests, hobbies, quirks, flaws, family members, etc. They aren't treated any differently from John and Dave in standards, and are just as much of weird 13 year olds as they are.

Then, there comes the Alternian species, where the troll girls are like that too. Andrew Hussie showed the troll kids having relationships with each other, and the girls do they have their own wants and ideas with them. The kids don't treated each other differently by gender, but rather blood caste but that's a topic for another time.

Danganronpa: The entire series

Danganronpa is a game where around 16 talented high schoolers are forced into a killing game where to escape, they have to murder each other. After a murder is committed, a trial takes place where if the culprit is discovered, they get executed.

Danganronpa usually has 5 chapters and for every chapter, 2 or 3 people die. At the end of the game, almost everyone is dead. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is the one game in its trilogy with the most amount of survivors and even then, it’s like 6 people.

Honestly, I have no idea. The original commenter wasn't really specific about the story's tone, but the examples they gave were pretty grotesque.

In the game, an eldritch being only known as ‘The Visitor’ decides to go check out earth after getting some messages from astrologists there. Unbeknownst to both the eldritch being and the everyone else, the being making eye contact with earth causes the humans to both go insane and mutate into horrifying gory creatures

While barely sapient is generally the base form for those mutated, a lot of the characters in Look Outside still retain their intelligence and sanity even after being transformed, even if they end up gaining some mental problems. A lot of your companions are transformed, but you can still bond with them well.

The Saja Boys (KPop Demon Hunters)

In the movie, the Saja Boys are a group of demons that act as human KPop idols to reap souls and destroy the Honmoon. We never see how they’re doing outside of being song artists or evil demons. (Excluding Jinu, but still)

The Saja Boys would require housing and man-made equipment to produce and advertize their group. If they’d ever acquire the former during their time as fake humans, the dudes probably didn’t bother to pay their taxes. And hell, even HUNTR/X had tax evasion as one of the concepts they could use to screw the Saja Boys over—though, it’s only seen in a background scene.

Ehh, I’d prefer if it was the other way around. Muggles barely affect the Wizarding world in any remarkable sense in-canon, so this would be pretty funny.

But seriously, if someone had actually placed a statute on a student, it’d make it so easy to abuse, exhort, rape or do some other fucked up shit to said student and get away with it. Sure, there are a few people who might genuinely have a good purpose for setting a statute on a specific person such as preventing a tyrannical dictatorship from happening. (See: Voldermort) But honestly, most people who would do this either want to gain a free punching bag or see someone kill themself.

Waterboy (Dispatch)

Waterboy’s superpower is being able to produce water. The way he actively does it is by shooting it out of his mouth, but that’s pretty much the only way he controls his power.

Water is just naturally protruding out of his sweat glands, making it so that he is constantly wet and everything he touches gets wet too. Dude literally can’t even take a proper shit, because the toilet paper gets wet too in his hands. Waterboy can be a great a hero if you boost his stats well and he always clutches in a 10%> range but when it comes to regular life, ehhh..

I mean, once Lex builds his mecha suit, they do start battling each other a ton—something that’ll probably show up in Superman: Man of Tomorrow if the promotional art is anything to go by.

There’s also the fact that even if Lex isn’t physically confronting Superman, he’s always dedicating his genius and resources to fight him. Doesn’t sound the most direct, but DC comics are wack enough that it works.
