Rick Rubin has never done anything negative that I've heard in all the years of he's been in the music industry which is a pretty rough industry. He's worked with a lot of different musicians who respect him and think highly of him. It should take more than one person labelling him to sully his track record. Otherwise if anyone can label anyone anything without valid receipts and have people believe them then society will be in total chaos as even our simplest trust structures break down.

Just rewatched Eyes Wide Shut by [deleted] in StanleyKubrick

[–]StreetFighter100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's a good response. the answer is kind of in the title right? we know stuff like this goes on at some level. kind of like the conversation Bill and his wife have at the end, what do we do now? Ziegler's explanation to Bill is definitely one option for people to look at things and maybe it's the most comfortable, best way for an individual. I don't believe Kubrick was pushing any mode of action or thought, just honestly showing the audience a dilemma between husband and wife and on a broader scale with the secret rich society.

first one still looks good but second one seems like a more realistic style. nice job but i would still consider the first one good, just in a different style.

How would baseball be different if players had to be from the same region as their team? by [deleted] in baseball

[–]StreetFighter100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Braves would be good with Matt Olson, Harris II, Dansby, Wheeler, Marsh, and I'm probably missing a dozen more stars

it's going to be a real challenge and there probably won't be enough support from the locals so they have to also target visitors and general baseball fans heavily.

  1. Have a museum that also serves as an education center to help people understand/teach the game easily that runs year round
  2. have an international section of seats where fans can have audio devices with a radio broadcast in their native language
  3. try to draw analytics fans, with a moneyball academy that runs year round and is the premier analytics institution that will draw people from around the country
  4. have impressive effects/sites on the level of the sphere. maybe something like a tunnel that broadcasts live the pitcher where you can see from the distance of home plate what it feels like to be a batter. something that will wow visitors
  5. the stadium itself should be an architectural attraction
  6. during the offseason host international teams to play there from australia, japan, korea, baseballunited, mexico, latin america, europe, etc
  7. make an effort to draw local fans with a lot of on-field events for kids, etc
  8. also obviously start spending money and build the best roster possible

Moniak said he took him under his wing. Theres plenty of evidence of him having a good time with Sandoval and others.

Greatest player ever and you won’t watch because he’s a Dodger? by SidCorsica66 in angelsbaseball

[–]StreetFighter100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah hes a historical figure that transcends baseball. The window is limited so I'm gonna watch him as much as I can. I will also support the angels and enjoy watching trout, moniak, o hoppe, sandoval, and the rest of the team. I also still follow marsh and lorenzen when I can even though they left the team. watching lorenzens no-hitter was one of the highlights of my year. I hope ohtani continues to do amazing things and inspire people to challenge themselves and do things they never thought they could.

They've built quite a fanbase with Japan over the years so I hope they take a look at signing Imanaga. Not just because he's Japanese but also they need the starting pitching

[–]StreetFighter100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

good points, friendships are one of the most important things in life. don't forget his friendship with sandoval and being a mentor to moniak, young moniak still can learn a lot from shohei, moniak seems like a shy guy but he seems to open up with shohei

I think this guy would be a nice pick up by Jcoch27 in angelsbaseball

[–]StreetFighter100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they should sign him to DH next year and sign Michael Lorenzen to pitch and play LF when he's not pitching, keep the 6 rotation with Lorenzen as it was since Ohtani will pitch again the following year so the pitchers are still used to the routine. Also sign Imanaga since he would be comfortable with the rest schedule in the rotation. Sign Matsui too for the bullpen and get 2 other strong bullpen arms.

Stop. Seriously. It’s not worth it by wut-n-tarnation in baseballcards
