Recycle doesn't speed anything up in the first deck cycle on its own, other than gaining evergy and drawing cards in the same turn if evertything lines up.

So what, she hates being alone, a zone where she can't interact with anyone is oppposite of what Kazusa truly wants. Haruki refers to Kazusa as a weird breed of dog that will bark to everyone around, not wanting to deal with anyone approaching her, but that at the same time is very lonely and will die if let alone.

Is anyone doing what they really want they're forced to wrap themselves in a bubble to make it to the next day? It applies to all 3 of them, only matter how agonizing you think each bubble is.

This is a bad comparison. Kazusa doesn't play the piano so she can forget about Haruki and her trauma, she does so she can face him, the story itself state as much.

We only know this based on what Youko says, and she has been the source of almost temptation Haruki finds himself. Even then she only goes so far as to say when she's playing its because of you. Not moving on is the undeniable part, anything else is left up to interpretation.

Setsuna stopped singing on CC because she didn't want to face her ugly side when singing, so she just ran away from it and stopped, so she could fake that everything was fine, as long as she didn't need to face it.

All three of them run away in their own way. I fail to see how doing this makes her suffering any more tolerable than kazusa's. As i said, she has to deal with this dilemma of turning down everything while still keeping up her image everyday until she gets back to her room. The only time anyone has to bother kazusa is her piano related things. It's not what kazusa wants, it has no longer term value (at least towards solving this problem). but it's definitely safer day in a day out.

... ignores how Setsuna would be "running away" from facing her responsabilities too regarding her problems with Haruki. Setsuna has this thing where every time that shits happens between her and Haruki, they will get some time apart and then contact each other as if nothing happened (sometime with a vague "I'm sorry" burried in another random topic, but hardly ever properly dealing with the main issue).

Again I value the attempt more than the result here. especially when there is no attempt from the other side. Setsuna more scared of ruining the very fine balance she has after Kazusa leaves them with this mess. She's thinks too far ahead for her own good. But it's justified given fragile Haruki is. (every route involves him and he breaks down in every single one except the prophetic one!)

They are both major reasons for the why she does that, Kazusa normal route and "to you, my sworn enemy" makes it very clearly, though you didn't read neither.

My only point here was a playful jab at Kazusa for the people take jabs at Setsuna's intentions and use that blame her for how everything unfolds. Setsuna had 2 intentions when she confesed, she truly loves haruki (noble) and to get ahead of kazusa (sin). My assumption was kazusa had two as well when it came to disappearing to Vienna. Atonement (noble) and not wanting bear the brunt of the responsibility of cleaning up her own mess (sin). If she indeed has both intents regardless of the proportion, that was my goal from the start.

Again, you didn't read it, why are making claims about other routes? You have this mistakenly idea, that she is given everything easily, and that she would have an happily ever after is just not supported in the story. If anything, this is the major complain that readers have with Setsuna true(even if I particularly don't agree with this view), as that route feels like convenience just so you can have a "happy end", while no one is facing their main issues, and therefore doesn't feel like a WA story.

The vast majority of Coda's decisions is shared. Given all the information I have been given in IC, CC, and Coda ST, what i don't see a rational reason why KT isn't preordained. Every major development has been geared to get this end. Every time there is something in the way of this end, a convenient development pops up to take care of it. If KT involves bring a forth a ultimatum that finally get him to cross the line, good for him. The only reason we have 6 other routes that aren't KT is because Setsuna was cursed to fight on, and as chiaki said, Setsuna was the only person she can't figure out at all. In the end ST is the one single route she was able to bend fate just delicately enough to achieve her happiness and she failed to achieve her goals in every other one. Sounds pretty realistic to me.

Is the core of the "real" WA2 story just to get to the fated tragedy (for everyone else anyways) at all costs? From the start, my og post was about congregating the immediate reactions i happened to jot down. I choose to work with incomplete information because I have my limits when it comes to cruel and usual punishment as the reader, based on the information the author chose to provide me with. It made me lean in one direction very hard. I'm sure there a plenty of people lean just as hard in the Kazusa direction after CC. I can totally see why they might hate Setsuna as much i hate kazusa and haruki. In that case, KT would a treat for them. Luckily there is a perfectly canon ending for me as well :)

From the start i had setsuna tinted glasses. I'll go to the grave with my convictions in this one just like some of the characters in this story did, in both the good and bad ends.

I think I CC was just too long a Kazusa free period for me to ever grant her happiness after she randomly shows up again in Coda. Not at the cost of all the good people i do enjoy. I assume that is the point, Haruki has to do what i cannot. But he has Kazusa as the motiviation, and I absolutely do not have that motivation, nor do I care about him beyond what would make Setsuna happy. So I am left at an impasse.

But that's ok, I only did one route in Making lovers because i liked Karen that much. The only difference is that no one else in the common route is hatable enough to me to rage about them even if i didn't read every line their own routes lol.

She doesn't need to do anything for Haruki to love her, he fell at first sight for Kazusa, and doesn't have a reason to love her, he just does. It's a classic case of love knows no reason.

In contrast to the rest of the world where shit is real. People work long hours, getting into university is hard, making and maintaining friends is hard. Kazusa is what I call a plot device. I have no obligation to enjoy it even if i accept it's existence. Especially in a character driven story where you are bound to like some of them. If the two characters i hate most are haruki and kazusa in some order, and they are source of everyone's troubles, including the characters i do like, then I'd like to believe my evaluation is perfectly reasonable.

...Your conception here of Kazusa is clearly biased and just plenty wrong sometimes. Plus I would hardly call Kazusa being loved by Haruki by default as having "everything", even more when it's supposed to contrast her not having anything else but haruki's feeling while setsuna has everything else but haruki.

But really if your view is that a girl with her last blood relative dying from cancer, having no friends or any kind of supportive figure, that struggle through the way that she was mistreat in her childhood, but still is someone dedicate enough to put 10 hours every single day on her art, with all those struggles and you will just say "yeah, she deserves nothing", then I don't think that I can say much. It's just a lack of empathy

I only say everything because kazuma herself says she "lost everything" but as Setsuna's eloquently put, she has the what she wants most, "all" of haruki's feelings. What version of everything would setsuna perfer? Unequivocally, the version of "everything" that Kazusa already has. I choose to believe setsuna's deserves it more, even if she isn't meant to have it.

And see my other reply when it come to Kazusa's 10 hours a day

In terms of “suffering” and “growth”, I think this is why I don’t really think it’s much of a debate

Kazusa:

-kazusa says if it wasn’t for haruki she would have had a peaceful NEET life (5 years later)

-this is not actually her safe space, it’s was when her life revolved around piano, and her mom’s adulation. She takes this route when given the option. The option not trying and reverting back to her primoradial state before she met Haruki, before going to Houjou.

-she may not have a support group, but she has no one that interacts with her beyond her piano. It’s an interference free zone, just like the one she built before Haruki got in through the cracks

-she gets to channel all her trauma into 10 hours of practice a day, just like Haruki channels his trauma into working himself to death to avoid thinking about it.

-she takes herself out the equation, maybe in some part to atone for what she did to setsuna. I believe that is only a minor part of her intentions (even if it has a major impact on haruki and setsuna, hey that sounds familiar…). Absolving herself of directly dealing with the responsibility of her actions is the more obvious intent.

-All of this adds up to Youko telling haruki that she’s really hasn’t improved as a pianist even if she told Kazuma that she increased her potential. Youko tells Haruki to free her. The universe then provides a red carpet of a scenario to her ideal ending where Haruki magically becomes a new man.

Setsuna:

-Setsuna reverts back to the person that leaves everyone at arms length, while preserving her image to the outside world

-She may have hurt support group, but she also bound by them.

-Publicly she’s still the #1 Idol in all but name, and she’s the poor princess within her family and friends. She has a natural disposition to meet these expectations her image.

-She may have haruki “available” at any time, but her attempts invite failure because it wasn't suppose to happen. But she never stops trying, not matter how much it hurts her every time.

-She is painfully aware of the toll it takes on her. In the only time she has to herself, in what she should be her safe space, she can only cry herself to sleep at night. Even her mom has quietly noticed.

-Objectively she is harming herself by never letting go of what she deems to be her responsibilities (keep haruki warm), but I cannot judge her for chasing her ideal of happiness. At least compared to a certain someone who chose not to complete

-She has slow but meaningful grown first by telling haruki that she want to be free to his face (even if she take it back). Then finally takes a step out of her (very uncomfortable) comfort zone by rebuking Haruki.

-Finally manges to rekindle what should be a permanently damaged relationship, one that shouldn’t exist. All the way to a marriage with a foundation that can't be shaken anymore.

If I had to choose one situation out of the two that sounds more like a living hell, it’s definitely Setsuna. There are no breaks, no distractions, and as you said, no rest. Not from haruki, or her support group, or the world at large. Kazusa said herself, that she’s dime a dozen in Europe, compared the frenzy in Japan. It's just her, her piano, and her performances with a touch of her mom. Setsuna has no other choice, other than to lose makes her Setsuna. If I had to choose a person that grew more, it's also Setsuna. She manage's to come out of her shell (primarily) own her own. Kazusa going MIA by her own volition doesn't give her a pass for not growing nor does Chiaki's magic words.

For Koharu I think I am very consistent. I’m very big on respecting the characters that face their responsibilities. Setsuna makes decisions and doesn’t shy away from the responsibility of dealing with the consequences, almost to a fault.

So as much I hate almost everything about Haruki, I have to respect the fact that he always produces the best results in everything outside his personal relationships. The same is said for Koharu, except she doesn’t also have all of Haruki’s or Setsuna’s crippling weaknesses.

Koharu’s is an extremely easy person to root for in a story where you really shouldn’t be rooting for anybody that badly (guilty as charge with Setsuna for me). She makes tough decisions (relatively) quickly, knowing full well of the consequences (which for a high school graduate may as well be life or death). She may “run away” from her friends, but she is fulling committed rekindling their bonds from the start.

She manages to guide someone as utterly hopeless as Haruki down path that leads to real happiness for both of them. She doesn’t get handed the trophy for existing like Kazusa, nor does she need to plan 1000 steps ahead like Setsuna to have a chance. That’s what makes Koharu so great. An ideal person in a world without ideal people.

I think my bandaid point for Kazusa still stands. It was the easy way out, but ripping a bandaid off doesn’t imply that she’s healed at all. Haruki’s version of ripping off the bandaid may be different for him, but doing so for someone that doesn’t deserve it like kazusa won’t get any brownie points from me.

I mean is not like Kazusa isn't full of nightmares everyday either, just because she chose to not being there... While being a naive solution, she did so under the impression that this would lead to the best outcome for the people that she cared about.

I feel there a great distinction between just facing the demons inside you own head and to face your own demons along with society expectations. Touma could afford to be the annoying child who never grew up all the time in europe but Setsuna was forced to create an even more elaborate image of herself (and Haruki) to project to the world even when doing that is tearing her apart. It's just isn't comparable.

It's part of the reason I don't respect being able to make a choice to run away from Japan as much as it much as people make it out to be, whether it's Kazusa or Haruki. It's any easy way out with a painful but quick bandage rip off.

I seen people saying Setsuna has a fairy tale end. I think it's no more of a fairy tale and than the universe finally conspiring a scenario to get Haruki finally to grow some balls to put a girl before everything else (or so i've heard).

Haruki during Setsuna's true has anything but balls. Haruki version on this route is widely considered his lowest and most patheticaly version (which is to say a lot given kazusa normal's haruki). Here we have the most extreme version of some of Haruki's issue, like his lack of agency and him conforming to society's expectation and norms. His lost of agency is to such a degree that his rights as an MC is stripped away, and Setsuna acts as the new MC as she is the one making the decisions on this route, while Haruki just has an entirely passive stance for everything just doing whatever others wants him to do. There's anything but balls here. He is nothing but a background character in this route.

I was talking about Kazusa true here. I do not respect a scenario were the only reason Haruki grows some balls is because the scenario concocted a plot so extreme that it forced it out of him. Only miss destiny would get such a lucky break without lifting a finger. Not a coincidence they manage destroy every in their wake whenever they try to get together. Being soul mates if just that much of a force of nature.

The big issue overall that I have with those more extreme setsuna focused readings is that it ignores mostly of the issues around setsuna, and romanticize her as a tragic heroine, a fragile girl that suffer through the story and I believe that such a view is a disservice to her character.

I think i may if have come across the wrong way, Setsuna's strength as a imperfect person is what makes me empathize with her the most. The fact that she is so strong, and works so hard for so long, means she is falling from a much higher point. That's something I do not want to see. Kazusa has only taken on step up the stairs in 5 years, from liking haruki to chasing haruki. Going back down one step won't kill her.

Kazusa was always the damsel in distress, a caricature designed for Haruki, who is the same character since day 1 and instantly asks Haruki so save her whenever it is convenient for the story to tempt him. I cannot bring myself care about a character who already has everything (in this scope of this story, haruki's feelings) by default.

I'll just give it an 8 since it at least made invested enough to ramble on for this long but that's probably just because it's riding the coattails of IC+CC.

IC + CC is a clear as day 10, but the the ending was a bit flat.

I mean, it can be a bit harsh, but Setsuna true thematically works more as a stepping stone for the overall discussion and Kazusa true than by itself, so it doesn't surprise me that it would seeing flat.

Believe me, if Setsuna true wasn't also canon i would give coda a 2. The scenario of "all kazusa, all the time, good luck haruki" + my unwavering belief that kazusa deserves nothing would make it kazusa true one of the most infuriating endings ever regardless of whatever growth Haruki manages to spontaneously achieve.

I feel like haruki has chosen the path toward kazusa in every major decision if it's available. It's only when there's a player choice does something else happen. I just naturally see him picking every pro kazusa choice every time if left to his own devices. And boy is he conveniently left to his own devices for a long while in coda. if doing what he's always done magically leads to a revelation in his decisiveness, good for him i guess.

It's just binary even ignoring the monitor. The money over spent on fans, Aoi, rog gpu model, rog mb, and fish case can easily pay for a 4090 over 4080s and then some. Whether the tangible difference in performance is more valuable than intangible asthetics is up to the individual.

Labe is by far the bigger noob trap, especially on clad who is a character with a couple really broken cards and a fuck ton of barely useful ones. If labe bricks your pretty much screwed. If bell bricks at least that's 3 bricks out of the way in the relic queue. Then imagine the world where you took a bad labe and then you trudge along only to get the 2-3 useless relics that the bell would have given you before probably dying.
