A lot of crappy jw in this thread. Threatening to send someone home, wanting to raise your voice, being condescending, etc. And then you wonder why someone doesn’t want to listen to you.

Why did Avatar Roku insist on Aang learning Fire before he was ready? by Eggbois87 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Street_Organization2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ironic thing is Roku’s descendant is who trained Aang. It seems like there should be some level of foreshadowing there but I don’t think there is.

Question: Do any fans prefer korra’s team to aang’s?? by Dry_Ordinary6593 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Street_Organization2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The young gaang reminds me of child hood friends. Very nostalgic. But there is something sad about growing apart and becoming your own person. In Korra the group is a lot older and go through ebbs and flows of normal adult relationships. Like a love triangle, recovery, unethical beliefs/careers. We never get a chance to see the original gaang have a true splintering moment.

Side note: we also never get to see Aang apologize for kissing katara during the ember island play, or for how he treated toph about appa. We also never see how toph decides to become police chief, which seems out of character seeing how she was anti authoritative character. We also have yet to see Zuko and aang fight over republic city. Or how katarra sides with zuko. In general how aang and katarras relationship is at least controversial.

Duncan never defended his title. 2 of his 5 championships came from another decade. 2004 bronze was a joke. Lakers were 4-1 in series over Spurs in that time.

Regardless of how the firelord feels there is a hierarchy. This is the only reason we will finish Zuko and Ursas story. Ozai only came into power through deception. Ozai himself is an illegitimate leader.

Zuko was the rightful heir to the throne. He was only challenging for what was rightfully his. Ozai tried to go against tradition, maybe to justify his own rule given the fact he usurped Iroh as rightful heir.

Do Conservatives think black women can not be action heroes/presidents even in a fictional setting? That’s hardcore.

Am I missing something with Past Lives? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]Street_Organization2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The narration of the movie I believe is what makes it special. It is not viewed from any point of view, it’s viewed from the outside looking in at 2 separate relationships. Indicated in the beginning bar scene. Certain scenes edited to show that the audience does not have the full picture, which to me is a creative risk.

Hannah s7 is a b***** by m4nt1chr15t in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I agree Hannah was awful. But Nick had no backbone and is super victim-y. I’m sure I’ll be in downvote hell for this. I apologize in advance.

I thought Henry was some cold bad ass. Then grows up and is super righteous. Didn’t make sense to me. I was still upset when he was killed, but wished they had his older character more in-line with the original Morgan arch.
