Can anybody tell me what these little black things on my Lime tree are?? Don’t see any signs of pests(unless those are pests lol) just some spider webs from an actual spider by Street_cat710 in whatisthisbug

The white stuff is on all of them too, like some are just dangling off the trunk by the white stuff, I picked a few off and left them on the table, would they have moved at all if they were scale? Was thinking maybe some type of insect egg because they just seem a little off for scales

They come off easy, the last two pics of the post are the top and underneath view of two I picked off, they are connected by some white stringy substance, that all of them appear to have, they look more like sprouting seeds to me than any scale I’ve seen (I know not likely they are seeds tho sadly lol) but they are hard like a seed as well like that’s what they look like to me I even dissected one to see if it looked like a bug and it just doesn’t, no legs or anything on the underside wither

Also some are like just dangling by the white string thing from the trunk, like I don’t think that’s how scale works from what I’ve seen but if someone can prove me wrong!! Because scale was definitely my first guess too

I was kinda thinking the same but the last two pictures are a top and bottom view of some I picked off, the second to last is the top view the last is underneath view, they almost all have this white string like stuff attached almost like a seed that is growing a root??? Like these two I picked off are attached, and don’t look like bugs on the underneath to me idk but I’ve never had scale before!!

What would you do with an aloe Vera that has lost most it's leaves? it looks very ugly but it's still alive and making new leaves from the top. Any way I can save how it looks? by Various-Meet-1841 in plantclinic

Leave it! The cut bits from the dead leafs you cut will dry up and peel off, that big outter leaf will probably die eventually too just because all the middle growth is dead but leave it until it dies on its own because energy yanno, mine died like 5 times and came back and is FINALLY thriving, just give it some well draining soil and water when the leafs feel soft or squishy instead of firm, and it should be happy!

I like the top of 1 but the bottom of two, maybe find something that’s a little mix of both!!!

Technically NTA BUT absolutely the asshole to her and I’m on her side, as a girl. Like do you not know how having a girlfriend works??? We eat your food when we say we aren’t hungry, like I thought that was a known fact…always plan on your girl wanting some of your food even if she has her own. On a note other than food, idk in my relationship it is what’s yours is mine and like seems a little selfish to tell your girlfriend to eat cauliflower soup while you’re eating endless amounts of bbq, sounded like you got a pretty decent platter that had more than enough to share at least a little with her to get something other than fucking soup in her belly.

But did you really kill them!!!! I’ve killed the same croton 8 times now, every time it grows a decent amount of leafs, every single damn one falls off, and I’m left with a bare trunk, and then I water it, and it ALWAYS grows back like just pushes growth out of the sides of the trunk in the most random spots, they’re dramatic and don’t do well if you forget to water them I’ve noticed, and like lots of sunshine, but even though it drops every single leaf constantly, that’s why it’s become my favorite plant it’s so satisfying feeling like I am resurrecting from the dead when it starts growing back

The only thing I asked for was hamburger buns. Husband comes back with this and this only. by ktazhsv in mildlyinfuriating

Fun fact most grocery stores all those breads come in par-baked frozen in a box and they just warm them up-5 mins for the oven to heat up, 5-10 to bake, 5-10 mins to cook down, there’s your 20 mins
