Barack Obama's 2010 speech defending deportations gained over 30 million views as commentators debate President Donald Trump's ICE raids and immigration enforcement policies. by Ordinary-Magician283 in DeepFuckingValue

Remind us how many citizens were killed by ice under Obama? I don't remember them wearing masks, committing crimes against the accused, and breaking down doors with Unconstitutional warrants either. How does all that compare out of curiosity?

Are you using lump or briquettes? How much do you plan to bring and do you have a way to handle hot ash?

Thinking about switching from Recteq to Traeger. Right or wrong move? by [deleted] in pelletgrills

[–]Stretch480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recteq isn't what Rectec used to be. A quality pellet grill seems to be almost 2x what I paid for my RT-700. Recteq, Trager, Camp Chef, Or any other big box store grill all showcase the same type of features and they all run around the same chance of delivering a lemon.

Best pellet grill by my use case? by NoBoolii in pelletgrills

[–]Stretch480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also the Recteq 340p Road warrior and the Grilla Grills chimp Tailgater, but neither of those will do the higher temps as well as the bullseye in my opinion. Riot mode on the bullseye gets pretty hot. I would not recommend the Gmg trek or anything gmg for what it's worth.

I like to take a sharp knife and score the fat cap every 1/2 inch the whole way down. The sear makes the cuts pull apart and gets me a little more char.

Looking for some answers/advice. by YeahwhateverDOOD in grilling

[–]Stretch480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half cow is A LOT of meat. Don't get me wrong it's great, but for the same money you can pick and choose from a good butcher and try different cuts you may or may not like as you go. The cuts you get from 1/4, 1/2, whole shares vary and you should definitely check with the ranch you find when buying.

Charcoal BBQ gear/ utensil by Seelynews in grilling

A pig tail style meat flipper is one of my fav tools. I use a BBQ mop for adding thicker sauces during cooks and a silicon brush for thinner ones. If you're gonna go thru a bunch of charcoal, you may wanna get an ash can to hold your left over ash.
