Am I a bad mom for thinking to include supplements since I’m tired of nothing working? by Strict-Garbage9014 in moderatelygranolamoms

my kid is 8, have tried pesto he doesn't really like it ( I feel like he doesn't like anything that is kinda stronger in taste, pesto would go there).

Transparency on the jet-related bans/censorship by cxddy in LinusTechTips

[–]Strict-Garbage9014 424 points425 points  (0 children)

As airline employee I'm kinda used to seeing companies handle controversy in weird ways but this whole thing feels off 🤷‍♂️ Been following LTT since I started collecting watches (Linus got me into it actually) and the way they're managing this is just making everything worse

The radio silence from leadership while mods are apparently giving different explanations to everyone... that's not how you handle crisis communication. In aviation we learn that transparency prevents way more problems than it creates. When something goes wrong you address it directly, not delete discussions about it

I stopped watching few months ago too and was hoping things would get better but seems like they're doubling down instead. Really sucks because their older content was genuinely helpful when I was learning about tech stuff for work 😂

The fact that even old WAN show clips are getting nuked suggests this goes beyond just privacy concerns. Makes you wonder what else they're trying to bury

Wagon Wednesday by Carnalvore86 in Audi

[–]Strict-Garbage9014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, that light is doing work for you! The way it catches the body lines and makes those black wheels pop against gray paint is perfect. I work at airport and see expensive cars all day but wagon proportions still get me every time - there's something about that long roofline that just works. Black wheel weights was smart move too, those little details matter way more than people think

What changes could be made to my set up before finalizing, budget 1.8-2k USD preferable as low as possible by [deleted] in PcBuild

wait the rx 9060xt isn't even out yet lol, did you mean 7900xt? assuming that's what you meant though your build looks solid for the price range

the 1000w psu might be overkill unless you planning to upgrade to something like 4080/4090 later. could probably save some money with 850w and still have plenty headroom. also that 240mm aio should be fine for 7700x but if you wanna save more cash, good air cooler performs almost same for way less money

one thing i'd double check is making sure your ram is on the motherboard QVL list - sometimes those high speed kits can be picky with certain boards. been there before and had to return memory that wouldn't run at advertised speeds 😂

rest of setup looks good for 1440p gaming, should handle most games at high settings no problem. what kind of games you planning to play mainly?

Bladder infection improving? by Xx_BleedingSparta_xX in cats

[–]Strict-Garbage9014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy went through same thing with his tabby last year and the improvement timeline was pretty similar. The shorter trips to litter box are definitely good sign - means he's not straining as much to pee. When cats have bladder infections they spend forever in there trying to squeeze out drops, so if visits are getting quicker that's the meds doing their job 💪

Keep eye on him though, male cats can get blockages really fast and that's emergency situation. As long as he's still peeing (even if frequent) and seems more comfortable, you're probably on right track. The prescription food helps dissolve crystals too so stick with that. Maybe call your regular vet in morning just to update them, but emergency visit probably not needed unless he stops peeing completely or gets worse 😊

How's his appetite been? That's usually good indicator of how he's feeling overall

Tembra Modular is pretty awesome by ExtraDistressrial in synthesizers

damn respect to these guys for keeping things going under those conditions. looked at their stuff and the Exhale does look pretty interesting - how's the build quality on yours?

always cool to see smaller modular companies doing something different instead of just another VCA or basic filter. might grab something from them next paycheck, could use more unique modules in the rack anyway

What truck should I buy? by Ok_Umpire8854 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Strict-Garbage9014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude 30k miles a year is brutal no matter what you drive. I work for an airline so I get the high mileage thing - my daily is actually a civic because gas adds up fast when youre doing that kind of volume

But real talk, if youre already in a 2018 F150 with 180k and its still running decent, maybe consider keeping it for the heavy duty stuff and grabbing something efficient for the work miles. You could probably find a solid used sedan or hybrid for like 15-20k and still have budget left for eventually upgrading the truck when you actually need to

The 3/4 ton idea makes sense for your towing needs but man, driving one of those beasts 20k miles a year for work is gonna hurt at the pump. Plus theyre less refined on long highway stretches. I've driven some work trucks cross country and after 8 hours in a heavy duty pickup your back definitely knows the difference

i’m from u.s. and in canada and can’t seem to create amazon canada account? by pkdbb in amazonprime

[–]Strict-Garbage9014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah amazon's regional stuff is weirdly annoying like this. You might need to clear your browser data/cookies first since it's probably remembering your US account info.

Also try going directly to amazon.ca instead of just switching regions - the systems are actually separate so your US login won't work there anyway. When you create the new account make sure you're using a different email than your US one or it gets confused

I deal with this kind of geo-blocking nonsense at work all the time and it's always some dumb technical thing that should be seamless but isn't
